When your commercial fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Temperature creeping up slowly

The fridge runs but no longer reaches its old temperature. In Jeddah's hot kitchens, grease builds on the condenser quickly, robbing it of the ability to shed heat and straining the compressor. We check the blockage on site and decide what is needed.

  2. 2

    Condenser fan stopped or slowed

The condenser fan draws air across the condensing coil. When it stops or slows, heat rises fast and the compressor cuts out on its thermal protector. We test the motor and the run capacitor and replace what has failed as part of the repair.

  3. 3

    Door gasket not sealing properly

A cracked or burned gasket lets warm, humid kitchen air in constantly. The result is a compressor that never rests, condensation forming inside the cabinet and an unstable temperature. We measure the existing gasket and replace it with the right size for that door.

WhatsApp us the make, model and the fault you see, plus your district, so the technician arrives with the right tools and likely parts.

  2. 2

    On-site diagnosis

We check the condenser, fan, gaskets and refrigerant pressure on site and identify the real cause before starting any repair.

  3. 3

    Repair and clean

We clean the condenser of grease and dust, replace the faulty part and top up refrigerant if needed, all while keeping disruption to your work as short as possible.

  4. 4

    Temperature check and handover

After the repair we let the fridge run and measure the cabinet temperature until it reaches the correct range, then hand the unit back to you.

What sets this district apart

Al Mu'ailiyah is a developed tourism and commercial district with hotels, dining halls and tourist restaurants spread across wider spaces than tight commercial areas. These establishments' fridges run under higher pressure because they serve guests at set times, and an unexpected stop causes big losses and customer frustration. Scheduled preventive maintenance here is not optional but an operational necessity to ensure continuity through the tourism season.

Al Mu'ailiyah is in north-east Jeddah, a developed tourism district with hotels, dining facilities and tourist restaurants.

Most hotels and large restaurants here use industrial-capacity display and storage units, sometimes multiple fridges in dining and kitchen areas.

The AC setup in Al Mu'ailiyah

  1. 1

    High-capacity industrial fridges

Hotels and large restaurants here invest in big display and storage units with powerful condensers built to handle heavy pressure.

  2. 2

Multiple units in kitchen and storage

Most tourist restaurants use separate display and storage fridges, sometimes with an additional unit in storage to handle high demand.

  3. 3

    Condensers in dedicated service areas

Hotels and large restaurants have dedicated service areas for condensers and pipes, making maintenance easy without disturbing guests or customers.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Mu'ailiyah

  1. 1

Coordinate with kitchen and hotel management

Inform both kitchen and hotel management of the service date in advance, so they can approve and plan to reduce fridge use during that time.

  2. 2

    Stagger other systems if needed

If one fridge is critical, ask management to prepare a quick backup spot in storage or dry ice before the visit.

  3. 3

Ensure the team can reach the outdoor condensers

Check that passages and doors to the outdoor condensers are clear and that service door keys are available for the team.

FAQ

Questions about Commercial fridge service

My kitchen fridge runs all the time but does not cool enough. What is wrong?

In most cases the condenser is blocked with grease and dust, which is common in Jeddah kitchens where steam and smoke build up fast. A worn door gasket letting warm kitchen air in constantly is another likely cause. We check both on site and tell you which is the problem, or whether both need attention.

Do you service prep counters and under-counter fridges as well?

Yes, our service covers upright fridges, prep counters, under-counter units and bottle coolers in restaurants, bakeries and groceries. We ask for the model in advance so the technician arrives with the right tools and parts for that unit's size and type.

How does Jeddah's humidity affect kitchen fridges?

Warm, humid air enters through any worn gasket and condenses inside the cabinet, raising the load on the compressor and speeding gasket wear. Salt in Jeddah's sea air also corrodes condenser parts over time. That is why we check gaskets and the condenser condition carefully at every service visit.

Can the fridge be repaired without shutting the kitchen down?

For most repairs, yes. Cleaning the condenser and replacing a fan motor or gasket takes the fridge out of service for a short time only. If the repair needs the refrigerant recovered and recharged we tell you the expected time beforehand so you can prepare your stock.

Why does water keep collecting inside my kitchen fridge?

The most common cause is a worn door gasket letting humid kitchen air in, which then condenses on the walls and shelves. A blocked defrost drain at the base of the unit is another frequent cause. We check the gaskets and the drain line on site and identify the problem before starting any repair.

Our hotel serves large numbers of guests, does the fridge need special maintenance?

Yes, we recommend comprehensive monthly maintenance covering the condenser, door seal, fan and internal coils. We time visits around kitchen closing to avoid clashing with service.

We have multiple fridges in the kitchen, how do you coordinate routine service?

We inspect all units in one visit and give you a unified maintenance schedule so a different team does not visit each time. We log each service in your kitchen's file.

If a fridge stops during peak orders, how quickly can you repair it?

We prioritise emergency calls from hotels and tourist restaurants. Call us directly and tell us the unit is down now, and we will send a technician as soon as possible.

The fridge temperature climbs gradually every two weeks, is it a leak?

This pattern suggests a slow leak in the pipes or a low refrigerant charge due to a dirty condenser. We clean and measure the refrigerant charge during each routine visit.
