When your commercial fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Temperature creeping up slowly

The fridge runs but no longer reaches its old temperature. In Jeddah's hot kitchens, grease builds on the condenser quickly, robbing it of the ability to shed heat and straining the compressor. We check the blockage on site and decide what is needed.

  2. 2

    Condenser fan stopped or slowed

The condenser fan draws air across the condensing coil. When it stops or slows, heat rises fast and the compressor cuts out on its thermal protector. We test the motor and the run capacitor and replace what has failed as part of the repair.

  3. 3

    Door gasket not sealing properly

A cracked or burned gasket lets warm, humid kitchen air in constantly. The result is a compressor that never rests, condensation forming inside the cabinet and an unstable temperature. We measure the existing gasket and replace it with the right size for that door.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Describe the fault

WhatsApp us the make, model and the fault you see, plus your district, so the technician arrives with the right tools and likely parts.

  2. 2

    On-site diagnosis

We check the condenser, fan, gaskets and refrigerant pressure on site and identify the real cause before starting any repair.

  3. 3

    Repair and clean

We clean the condenser of grease and dust, replace the faulty part and top up refrigerant if needed, all while keeping disruption to your work as short as possible.

  4. 4

    Temperature check and handover

After the repair we let the fridge run and measure the cabinet temperature until it reaches the correct range, then hand the unit back to you.

What sets this district apart

Radwa is a sprawling commercial district east of Jeddah with large food warehouses, popular restaurants and a busy covered market, less brand-new than Al Abeer but more open than downtown. Indoor heat in the stores and restaurants is very high due to cooking intensity, and display fridges face strong thermal loads, especially in summer. Humidity and dust from crowded markets speed up dirt accumulation on condenser coils and fans.

Radwa sits in east-central north Jeddah, a sprawling commercial zone with warehouses and crowded markets in a hot, dry environment.

Most warehouses and restaurants in Radwa use three or four-door display fridges, some with air-cooled condensers because indoor ventilation is limited.

The AC setup in Radwa

  1. 1

    High-capacity multi-door display fridges

Large warehouses and restaurants in Radwa use three or four-door units with powerful condensers to handle high thermal load.

  2. 2

    Storage fridges in back halls

Large warehouses have separate storage fridges in back halls or small cold rooms alongside the front display units.

  3. 3

    High-use water and juice fridges

Alongside food units, restaurants and shops run separate beverage fridges for extended hours, especially in summer.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Radwa

  1. 1

Switch off if the fridge has overheated

If the fridge has reached a dangerous temperature (above 10°C), switch it off before the visit and remove the goods.

  2. 2

Clear space around the condenser coils

The condenser is usually at the back or bottom, ensure adequate ventilation around it and clear any boxes or barriers.

  3. 3

List any faults or odd signs

Write down any faults you've noticed (strange noises, water leaks, uneven cooling) to help us diagnose quickly.

FAQ

Questions about Commercial fridge service

My kitchen fridge runs all the time but does not cool enough. What is wrong?

In most cases the condenser is blocked with grease and dust, which is common in Jeddah kitchens where steam and smoke build up fast. A worn door gasket letting warm kitchen air in constantly is another likely cause. We check both on site and tell you which is the problem, or whether both need attention.

Do you service prep counters and under-counter fridges as well?

Yes, our service covers upright fridges, prep counters, under-counter units and bottle coolers in restaurants, bakeries and groceries. We ask for the model in advance so the technician arrives with the right tools and parts for that unit's size and type.

How does Jeddah's humidity affect kitchen fridges?

Warm, humid air enters through any worn gasket and condenses inside the cabinet, raising the load on the compressor and speeding gasket wear. Salt in Jeddah's sea air also corrodes condenser parts over time. That is why we check gaskets and the condenser condition carefully at every service visit.

Can the fridge be repaired without shutting the kitchen down?

For most repairs, yes. Cleaning the condenser and replacing a fan motor or gasket takes the fridge out of service for a short time only. If the repair needs the refrigerant recovered and recharged we tell you the expected time beforehand so you can prepare your stock.

Why does water keep collecting inside my kitchen fridge?

The most common cause is a worn door gasket letting humid kitchen air in, which then condenses on the walls and shelves. A blocked defrost drain at the base of the unit is another frequent cause. We check the gaskets and the drain line on site and identify the problem before starting any repair.

The heat in the warehouse is extreme, does it affect the fridge's efficiency?

Yes, indoor heat above 35°C forces the condenser to work harder and it may struggle to cool inside. We recommend better ventilation and regular coil cleaning.

Our fridges are in a closed indoor market, does that cause problems?

Closed markets trap heat and humidity, raising the cooling load and speeding up dust and mould build-up in the coils, so frequent servicing is necessary.

Dust is heavy in Radwa, does it clog the condenser coils fast?

Yes, dust from open-air shops and markets builds up quickly on the coils, so monthly cleaning is advisable to maintain efficiency.

The fridge power connections are tangled, does that affect performance?

Weak or tangled connections reduce voltage to the compressor and pump, so check the circuit and straighten the connection before major failure occurs.
