When your commercial fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Temperature creeping up slowly

The fridge runs but no longer reaches its old temperature. In Jeddah's hot kitchens, grease builds on the condenser quickly, robbing it of the ability to shed heat and straining the compressor. We check the blockage on site and decide what is needed.

  2. 2

    Condenser fan stopped or slowed

The condenser fan draws air across the condensing coil. When it stops or slows, heat rises fast and the compressor cuts out on its thermal protector. We test the motor and the run capacitor and replace what has failed as part of the repair.

  3. 3

    Door gasket not sealing properly

A cracked or burned gasket lets warm, humid kitchen air in constantly. The result is a compressor that never rests, condensation forming inside the cabinet and an unstable temperature. We measure the existing gasket and replace it with the right size for that door.

What sets this district apart

Al Mulaisa is a mixed commercial district of food shops, supermarkets and small restaurants tightly packed along reasonably wide streets. Many of these units operate in ground-floor spaces with fridges squeezed close together in small kitchens and storage rooms, limiting airflow around the outdoor unit and letting heat build quickly during the long summer. Regular cleaning of the condenser and fan maintenance is essential to prevent sudden failure and stock loss.

Al Mulaisa, in south Jeddah, is a busy commercial district packed with food shops and supermarkets.

Most shops here have display and chest fridges for keeping products chilled or frozen, with outdoor units usually on the roof or a tight rear yard.

Storage fridges in kitchens and back stores

Larger restaurants and shops install heavy-duty storage fridges in back kitchens and storage rooms, where ventilation is limited and heat builds up.

  3. 3

Outdoor units on roofs and cramped yards

Outdoor units sit on shop roofs or cramped rear yards, making maintenance and cleaning require careful coordination with the shop.

FAQ

Questions about Commercial fridge service

My kitchen fridge runs all the time but does not cool enough. What is wrong?

In most cases the condenser is blocked with grease and dust, which is common in Jeddah kitchens where steam and smoke build up fast. A worn door gasket letting warm kitchen air in constantly is another likely cause. We check both on site and tell you which is the problem, or whether both need attention.

Do you service prep counters and under-counter fridges as well?

Yes, our service covers upright fridges, prep counters, under-counter units and bottle coolers in restaurants, bakeries and groceries. We ask for the model in advance so the technician arrives with the right tools and parts for that unit's size and type.

How does Jeddah's humidity affect kitchen fridges?

Warm, humid air enters through any worn gasket and condenses inside the cabinet, raising the load on the compressor and speeding gasket wear. Salt in Jeddah's sea air also corrodes condenser parts over time. That is why we check gaskets and the condenser condition carefully at every service visit.

Can the fridge be repaired without shutting the kitchen down?

For most repairs, yes. Cleaning the condenser and replacing a fan motor or gasket takes the fridge out of service for a short time only. If the repair needs the refrigerant recovered and recharged we tell you the expected time beforehand so you can prepare your stock.

Why does water keep collecting inside my kitchen fridge?

The most common cause is a worn door gasket letting humid kitchen air in, which then condenses on the walls and shelves. A blocked defrost drain at the base of the unit is another frequent cause. We check the gaskets and the drain line on site and identify the problem before starting any repair.

My shop fridge climbs in temperature during summer, what causes it?

Usually the condenser gathers dust and kitchen grease, or the fan runs sluggish. We inspect the condenser, fan and compressor, cleaning what needs it to restore cooling.

My rear yard is very tight, how do you reach the outdoor unit?

We assess the space before the visit and bring our tools to suit the yard size, or coordinate with the shop owner for a quieter time if needed.

Does Jeddah's intense heat damage the fridge faster than other areas?

Yes, the intense heat and high humidity in south Jeddah puts sustained strain on the compressor and condenser, so maintenance every two to three months keeps performance and safety intact.

The door gasket leaks, is that a risk to my stock?

Yes, air leaking through the gasket makes the fridge work harder and temperature rise gradually, so we replace or repair the gasket to restore a tight seal.
