When your commercial fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Temperature creeping up slowly

The fridge runs but no longer reaches its old temperature. In Jeddah's hot kitchens, grease builds on the condenser quickly, robbing it of the ability to shed heat and straining the compressor. We check the blockage on site and decide what is needed.

  2. 2

    Condenser fan stopped or slowed

The condenser fan draws air across the condensing coil. When it stops or slows, heat rises fast and the compressor cuts out on its thermal protector. We test the motor and the run capacitor and replace what has failed as part of the repair.

  3. 3

    Door gasket not sealing properly

A cracked or burned gasket lets warm, humid kitchen air in constantly. The result is a compressor that never rests, condensation forming inside the cabinet and an unstable temperature. We measure the existing gasket and replace it with the right size for that door.

What sets this district apart

Al Salmiyah Al Sharqiyah is a medium-density residential and commercial area mixing apartments, villas, small shops, restaurants, bakeries and small warehouses. Commercial fridges run a moderate daily schedule, but summer heat and dry conditions increase strain on condensers and compressors. Desert dust builds up on condensers at a moderate rate, and copper pipes may corrode from dryness and salt. Servicing every six weeks or ten weeks keeps the fridges in good condition.

Al Salmiyah Al Sharqiyah lies in south Jeddah as a balanced residential and commercial zone with diverse shops and restaurants.

Most commercial fridges here are standalone units with external condensers on roofs or walls, and some smaller shops still use older window-type units.

FAQ

Questions about Commercial fridge service

My kitchen fridge runs all the time but does not cool enough. What is wrong?

In most cases the condenser is blocked with grease and dust, which is common in Jeddah kitchens where steam and smoke build up fast. A worn door gasket letting warm kitchen air in constantly is another likely cause. We check both on site and tell you which is the problem, or whether both need attention.

Do you service prep counters and under-counter fridges as well?

Yes, our service covers upright fridges, prep counters, under-counter units and bottle coolers in restaurants, bakeries and groceries. We ask for the model in advance so the technician arrives with the right tools and parts for that unit's size and type.

How does Jeddah's humidity affect kitchen fridges?

Warm, humid air enters through any worn gasket and condenses inside the cabinet, raising the load on the compressor and speeding gasket wear. Salt in Jeddah's sea air also corrodes condenser parts over time. That is why we check gaskets and the condenser condition carefully at every service visit.

Can the fridge be repaired without shutting the kitchen down?

For most repairs, yes. Cleaning the condenser and replacing a fan motor or gasket takes the fridge out of service for a short time only. If the repair needs the refrigerant recovered and recharged we tell you the expected time beforehand so you can prepare your stock.

Why does water keep collecting inside my kitchen fridge?

The most common cause is a worn door gasket letting humid kitchen air in, which then condenses on the walls and shelves. A blocked defrost drain at the base of the unit is another frequent cause. We check the gaskets and the drain line on site and identify the problem before starting any repair.

My shop is small and ground level, can the outdoor unit mount on the wall?

Yes, outdoor units can be mounted on external walls or fences, especially if the roof is unavailable. We inspect the site before installation.

The area is dry and my fridge's copper work is corroding, what can I do?

Dryness and salt speed corrosion. We clean pipes regularly and inspect connections. If corrosion is severe, we may need to replace pipes.

How often should I service my fridge in Al Salmiyah Al Sharqiyah?

We recommend service every six weeks or ten weeks to clean the condenser and fan. In extreme summer heat, you may need more frequent servicing.

My warehouse is small and the fridge is old, should I replace it or repair it?

We assess it first to evaluate its condition. If it runs with reasonable efficiency and regular servicing, you can keep it. If breakdowns are frequent, replacement is cheaper long-term.
