When your commercial fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Temperature creeping up slowly

The fridge runs but no longer reaches its old temperature. In Jeddah's hot kitchens, grease builds on the condenser quickly, robbing it of the ability to shed heat and straining the compressor. We check the blockage on site and decide what is needed.

  2. 2

    Condenser fan stopped or slowed

The condenser fan draws air across the condensing coil. When it stops or slows, heat rises fast and the compressor cuts out on its thermal protector. We test the motor and the run capacitor and replace what has failed as part of the repair.

  3. 3

    Door gasket not sealing properly

A cracked or burned gasket lets warm, humid kitchen air in constantly. The result is a compressor that never rests, condensation forming inside the cabinet and an unstable temperature. We measure the existing gasket and replace it with the right size for that door.

What sets this district apart

Al Rawasi is an emerging commercial and hotel district in east Jeddah, with food shops, small restaurants and budget hotels in reasonably modern buildings on wider streets. Small hotels here need reliable fridges in restaurants, cafés and kitchens to deliver regular breakfast and meal service. The climate is dry, hot and easterly, and fine dust and salt settle on condensers quickly, cutting cooling efficiency fast. An unexpected fridge failure in a hotel or restaurant means service stops for guests and customers, so regular maintenance is essential.

FAQ

Questions about Commercial fridge service

My kitchen fridge runs all the time but does not cool enough. What is wrong?

In most cases the condenser is blocked with grease and dust, which is common in Jeddah kitchens where steam and smoke build up fast. A worn door gasket letting warm kitchen air in constantly is another likely cause. We check both on site and tell you which is the problem, or whether both need attention.

Do you service prep counters and under-counter fridges as well?

Yes, our service covers upright fridges, prep counters, under-counter units and bottle coolers in restaurants, bakeries and groceries. We ask for the model in advance so the technician arrives with the right tools and parts for that unit's size and type.

How does Jeddah's humidity affect kitchen fridges?

Warm, humid air enters through any worn gasket and condenses inside the cabinet, raising the load on the compressor and speeding gasket wear. Salt in Jeddah's sea air also corrodes condenser parts over time. That is why we check gaskets and the condenser condition carefully at every service visit.

Can the fridge be repaired without shutting the kitchen down?

For most repairs, yes. Cleaning the condenser and replacing a fan motor or gasket takes the fridge out of service for a short time only. If the repair needs the refrigerant recovered and recharged we tell you the expected time beforehand so you can prepare your stock.

Why does water keep collecting inside my kitchen fridge?

The most common cause is a worn door gasket letting humid kitchen air in, which then condenses on the walls and shelves. A blocked defrost drain at the base of the unit is another frequent cause. We check the gaskets and the drain line on site and identify the problem before starting any repair.

I run a small hotel, does a restaurant fridge failure damage my rating?

Yes, an unexpected fridge failure means no breakfast or meal service for guests, which damages ratings. We offer regular maintenance contracts to keep the fridge running reliably and prevent downtime.

Does east dust and sea salt affect the fridge more than other Jeddah areas?

Yes, Al Rawasi is further east and fine dust and salts clog the condenser and fan. We recommend cleaning every six weeks during summer to prevent complete blockage.

My restaurant fridge stopped yesterday, how do I prevent this?

A sudden stop usually comes from a leak, weak compressor or worn gasket. We inspect it immediately, find the cause and fix it. A quarterly maintenance contract greatly reduces the risk of future failure.

Our hotel has stable power, does that reduce strain on the fridge?

Stable power helps the compressor run efficiently, but regular maintenance is still essential because dust and salt buildup is driven by the eastern climate, not electrical stability.
