When your commercial fridge needs attention
- 1
Temperature creeping up slowly
The fridge runs but no longer reaches its old temperature. In Jeddah's hot kitchens, grease builds on the condenser quickly, robbing it of the ability to shed heat and straining the compressor. We check the blockage on site and decide what is needed.
- 2
Condenser fan stopped or slowed
The condenser fan draws air across the condensing coil. When it stops or slows, heat rises fast and the compressor cuts out on its thermal protector. We test the motor and the run capacitor and replace what has failed as part of the repair.
- 3
Door gasket not sealing properly
A cracked or burned gasket lets warm, humid kitchen air in constantly. The result is a compressor that never rests, condensation forming inside the cabinet and an unstable temperature. We measure the existing gasket and replace it with the right size for that door.

What sets this district apart
Al Sahifah is a straightforward central commercial district packed with popular restaurants, cafés and food shops squeezed closely together, mixing older and newer buildings. Streets are narrow and space around shops is tight, so fridges are often wedged in tight corners or behind the premises. Heavy daily use and heat from kitchens and grills constantly increase condenser load. Grease and dust build up fast because of density, and gaskets wear from non-stop use. Frequent maintenance is essential in this dense setting.
Al Sahifah is a central commercial district with tightly packed shops, markets and restaurants in a mix of older and newer buildings.
Most Al Sahifah restaurant and shop fridges are used vertical or horizontal units of medium to large capacity, installed in very tight spaces.

FAQ
Questions about Commercial fridge service
My kitchen fridge runs all the time but does not cool enough. What is wrong?
In most cases the condenser is blocked with grease and dust, which is common in Jeddah kitchens where steam and smoke build up fast. A worn door gasket letting warm kitchen air in constantly is another likely cause. We check both on site and tell you which is the problem, or whether both need attention.
Do you service prep counters and under-counter fridges as well?
Yes, our service covers upright fridges, prep counters, under-counter units and bottle coolers in restaurants, bakeries and groceries. We ask for the model in advance so the technician arrives with the right tools and parts for that unit's size and type.
How does Jeddah's humidity affect kitchen fridges?
Warm, humid air enters through any worn gasket and condenses inside the cabinet, raising the load on the compressor and speeding gasket wear. Salt in Jeddah's sea air also corrodes condenser parts over time. That is why we check gaskets and the condenser condition carefully at every service visit.
Can the fridge be repaired without shutting the kitchen down?
For most repairs, yes. Cleaning the condenser and replacing a fan motor or gasket takes the fridge out of service for a short time only. If the repair needs the refrigerant recovered and recharged we tell you the expected time beforehand so you can prepare your stock.
Why does water keep collecting inside my kitchen fridge?
The most common cause is a worn door gasket letting humid kitchen air in, which then condenses on the walls and shelves. A blocked defrost drain at the base of the unit is another frequent cause. We check the gaskets and the drain line on site and identify the problem before starting any repair.
My shop is tiny and the fridge takes up 40 per cent of the space, is that bad?
Very tight spaces reduce condenser ventilation and raise ambient temperature. We ensure adequate clearance behind the fridge for airflow and advise opening the shop door regularly to improve ventilation.
My fridge is beside the oven and the heat is unbearable, how do we fix it?
Oven heat sharply increases condenser load and may make the fridge insufficient. We advise moving the fridge away from the oven if possible or adding an insulating heat barrier.
My drain line is always clogged with grease and oil, how do we prevent it?
Grease and kitchen oil clog the drain fast in busy restaurants. We deep-clean the drain and apply a protective treatment to the pipe to reduce buildup, and advise weekly drain cleaning.
The shop's wiring is old and the switch is loose, is that dangerous?
Yes, old wiring and loose connections are dangerous and reduce compressor efficiency. We check the connection, plug and switch on the visit and advise immediate repair by an electrician.
