When your commercial fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Temperature creeping up slowly

The fridge runs but no longer reaches its old temperature. In Jeddah's hot kitchens, grease builds on the condenser quickly, robbing it of the ability to shed heat and straining the compressor. We check the blockage on site and decide what is needed.

  2. 2

    Condenser fan stopped or slowed

The condenser fan draws air across the condensing coil. When it stops or slows, heat rises fast and the compressor cuts out on its thermal protector. We test the motor and the run capacitor and replace what has failed as part of the repair.

  3. 3

    Door gasket not sealing properly

A cracked or burned gasket lets warm, humid kitchen air in constantly. The result is a compressor that never rests, condensation forming inside the cabinet and an unstable temperature. We measure the existing gasket and replace it with the right size for that door.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Describe the fault

WhatsApp us the make, model and the fault you see, plus your district, so the technician arrives with the right tools and likely parts.

  2. 2

    On-site diagnosis

We check the condenser, fan, gaskets and refrigerant pressure on site and identify the real cause before starting any repair.

  3. 3

    Repair and clean

We clean the condenser of grease and dust, replace the faulty part and top up refrigerant if needed, all while keeping disruption to your work as short as possible.

  4. 4

    Temperature check and handover

After the repair we let the fridge run and measure the cabinet temperature until it reaches the correct range, then hand the unit back to you.

What sets this district apart

Al Tawfeeq is a relatively modern district of shops and restaurants in new buildings with wide pavements and reasonable loading areas. Units here are usually more spacious than Al Mulaisa, with large fridges in wider kitchens, but the cooling load remains high during the long, dry summer. Airflow round the outdoor unit is better than in older areas, but east-side dust and dry air clog the condenser quickly and cut cooling efficiency.

Al Tawfeeq, in east Jeddah, is a modern mixed district of shops, restaurants and residential buildings.

Shops here use high-performance display and industrial freezing units, with outdoor units usually in loading areas or on modern building rooftops.

The AC setup in Al Tawfeeq

  1. 1

High-performance display fridges for drinks and food

Modern cafés and shops install sleek glass-door display fridges for drinks, sweets and juices, running continuous cooling with a heavy daily load.

  2. 2

    Separate industrial freezing units

Modern restaurants often install a separate freezing unit alongside a cooling fridge in the kitchen, each with its own outdoor unit.

  3. 3

Outdoor units in loading areas and exposed rooftops

Outdoor units sit in exposed loading areas or on building rooftops, directly exposed to sun and dust.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Tawfeeq

  1. 1

Confirm the exact outdoor unit location

Loading areas may have units for several shops. Tell us exactly where your outdoor unit is to avoid any confusion.

  2. 2

Keep clear space for the team in the kitchen

Modern kitchens are packed with equipment. Make sure the team can reach the fridge and indoor unit safely and easily.

  3. 3

Avoid scheduling during peak service hours

Restaurants and cafés are busy at lunch and dinner. Choose the maintenance time early morning or between meal services.

FAQ

Questions about Commercial fridge service

My kitchen fridge runs all the time but does not cool enough. What is wrong?

In most cases the condenser is blocked with grease and dust, which is common in Jeddah kitchens where steam and smoke build up fast. A worn door gasket letting warm kitchen air in constantly is another likely cause. We check both on site and tell you which is the problem, or whether both need attention.

Do you service prep counters and under-counter fridges as well?

Yes, our service covers upright fridges, prep counters, under-counter units and bottle coolers in restaurants, bakeries and groceries. We ask for the model in advance so the technician arrives with the right tools and parts for that unit's size and type.

How does Jeddah's humidity affect kitchen fridges?

Warm, humid air enters through any worn gasket and condenses inside the cabinet, raising the load on the compressor and speeding gasket wear. Salt in Jeddah's sea air also corrodes condenser parts over time. That is why we check gaskets and the condenser condition carefully at every service visit.

Can the fridge be repaired without shutting the kitchen down?

For most repairs, yes. Cleaning the condenser and replacing a fan motor or gasket takes the fridge out of service for a short time only. If the repair needs the refrigerant recovered and recharged we tell you the expected time beforehand so you can prepare your stock.

Why does water keep collecting inside my kitchen fridge?

The most common cause is a worn door gasket letting humid kitchen air in, which then condenses on the walls and shelves. A blocked defrost drain at the base of the unit is another frequent cause. We check the gaskets and the drain line on site and identify the problem before starting any repair.

I run a modern café, is maintaining a drink fridge different from food shops?

Yes, drink fridges run at lighter cooling than food fridges, but the fan and condenser need the same attention to prevent pipe freeze or refrigerant leaks.

My loading area is sun-exposed, does that affect the outdoor unit?

Yes, intense heat on the outdoor unit raises refrigerant pressure and compressor load significantly. We recommend fitting a shade or thermal shield over the unit, or scheduling maintenance every six weeks during summer.

East dust settles on the outdoor unit fast, how often should I clean it?

East dust clogs the condenser quickly and dry air speeds up deposits. We recommend cleaning every two months during summer, or more often if the condenser visibly dirties fast.

The building has modern strong power, does that ease the fridge load?

Stable power helps the compressor run efficiently, but electricity bills stay high if the gaskets and fan are not in good condition. We inspect all details to ensure energy-efficient operation.
