When your commercial fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Temperature creeping up slowly

The fridge runs but no longer reaches its old temperature. In Jeddah's hot kitchens, grease builds on the condenser quickly, robbing it of the ability to shed heat and straining the compressor. We check the blockage on site and decide what is needed.

  2. 2

    Condenser fan stopped or slowed

The condenser fan draws air across the condensing coil. When it stops or slows, heat rises fast and the compressor cuts out on its thermal protector. We test the motor and the run capacitor and replace what has failed as part of the repair.

  3. 3

    Door gasket not sealing properly

A cracked or burned gasket lets warm, humid kitchen air in constantly. The result is a compressor that never rests, condensation forming inside the cabinet and an unstable temperature. We measure the existing gasket and replace it with the right size for that door.

  1. 1

    Describe the fault

WhatsApp us the make, model and the fault you see, plus your district, so the technician arrives with the right tools and likely parts.

  2. 2

    On-site diagnosis

We check the condenser, fan, gaskets and refrigerant pressure on site and identify the real cause before starting any repair.

  3. 3

    Repair and clean

We clean the condenser of grease and dust, replace the faulty part and top up refrigerant if needed, all while keeping disruption to your work as short as possible.

  4. 4

    Temperature check and handover

After the repair we let the fridge run and measure the cabinet temperature until it reaches the correct range, then hand the unit back to you.

What sets this district apart

Al Waziriyah is a relatively traditional market area with meat, fish and vegetable shops, many in older or mid-age buildings. Fridges here face very high pressure because fresh goods need precise temperature control, and coastal humidity and salt buildup accelerate condenser corrosion. We focus on regular cleaning and close inspection to prevent sudden failures that spoil stock.

Al Waziriyah lies in south Jeddah, a traditional market area with meat, fish and vegetable shops in older and mid-age buildings.

Most coolers here are open display or sliding-door models, often connected to a single central cooling unit serving several fridges.

The AC setup in Al Waziriyah

  1. 1

Open display coolers connected to a central unit

Fish and meat shops use multiple open or half-closed display coolers, all connected to a single compressor and condenser.

  2. 2

Sliding-door coolers for vegetables and packaged goods

Vegetable and grocery shops use glass sliding-door coolers, which need strong door gaskets to prevent cold air escape.

  3. 3

Shared cooling units for multiple fridges

Shared cooling costs are common here, with one outdoor unit serving multiple display and storage coolers in a shop.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Waziriyah

  1. 1

Tell us the full load of coolers

Tell us how many coolers connect to the outdoor unit and what goods are in each, helping us understand the system load.

  2. 2

Ensure safe access to the roof

The outdoor unit is usually on the roof, check that the roof is safe and the access is clear before the visit.

  3. 3

Choose maintenance time outside peak hours

Fish and meat shops are very busy in the morning and afternoon, so choose maintenance time during quieter hours if possible.

FAQ

Questions about Commercial fridge service

My kitchen fridge runs all the time but does not cool enough. What is wrong?

In most cases the condenser is blocked with grease and dust, which is common in Jeddah kitchens where steam and smoke build up fast. A worn door gasket letting warm kitchen air in constantly is another likely cause. We check both on site and tell you which is the problem, or whether both need attention.

Do you service prep counters and under-counter fridges as well?

Yes, our service covers upright fridges, prep counters, under-counter units and bottle coolers in restaurants, bakeries and groceries. We ask for the model in advance so the technician arrives with the right tools and parts for that unit's size and type.

How does Jeddah's humidity affect kitchen fridges?

Warm, humid air enters through any worn gasket and condenses inside the cabinet, raising the load on the compressor and speeding gasket wear. Salt in Jeddah's sea air also corrodes condenser parts over time. That is why we check gaskets and the condenser condition carefully at every service visit.

Can the fridge be repaired without shutting the kitchen down?

For most repairs, yes. Cleaning the condenser and replacing a fan motor or gasket takes the fridge out of service for a short time only. If the repair needs the refrigerant recovered and recharged we tell you the expected time beforehand so you can prepare your stock.

Why does water keep collecting inside my kitchen fridge?

The most common cause is a worn door gasket letting humid kitchen air in, which then condenses on the walls and shelves. A blocked defrost drain at the base of the unit is another frequent cause. We check the gaskets and the drain line on site and identify the problem before starting any repair.

A fish and poultry shop needs very strong cooling, how do you handle that?

Yes, we inspect the compressor, condenser and fans closely because these shops demand very high efficiency. We focus on cleaning the condenser from deposits to handle the heavy load.

My shop is near the sea and salt affects the fridge, what do we do?

Humidity and salt accelerate corrosion of the condenser and metal parts. We recommend monthly cleaning rather than waiting for a breakdown.

An open display cooler loses temperature quickly in extreme heat, is that normal?

Yes, open displays in extreme heat work harder. We ensure the fans and condenser can handle the extra strain in summer.

The outdoor unit sits in a cramped yard on the building roof, does it affect performance?

Yes, poor airflow around the unit causes it to overheat and cooling efficiency drops. We ensure no blockages and adequate ventilation around the unit.
