When you need a retail HVAC specialist
- 1
A new mall or shopping centre
A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.
- 2
An existing shop with uneven cooling
The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.
- 3
Condensate dripping on shelves or display
A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.
Who it's for
Opening a new shop inside a mall
We design an independent unit for your space and install ductwork and condensate lines before finishing work so your opening is not delayed.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging an existing commercial complex
We review the existing system and set a preventive and corrective maintenance contract scheduled outside trading hours so tenants are not affected.

- Maintenance contracts off peak
How we work
How we work
- 1
Site survey and loads
We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.
- 2
Design and materials
We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.
- 3
Installation coordinated on site
We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.
- 4
Start-up and maintenance contract
We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.
Designed for the space or just fitted?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Air distribution | Load study per zone | One unit for the whole space |
| Ductwork | G90 sheet, sized for the job | Off-the-shelf wrong size |
| Condensate | Dedicated line away from stock | Risk of drips on shelves |
| Maintenance | Scheduled outside shop hours | Surprise outage during trade |
| Copper purity | Mueller copper, 99% pure, no welds | Unspecified pipe source |

What sets this district apart
Al Barakah in south Jeddah holds growing shops and markets in modern buildings with ongoing urban expansion, plus some small and mid-sized local malls. Buildings here are newer than other southern areas with higher ceilings and wider floor plates, but intense heat, high humidity and seasonal dust still press hard on cooling systems. Most new shops need powerful split units or simple central systems by area size, and outdoor unit mounting is easier than in older zones because modern building roofs are more robust and stable.
Al Barakah lies in south Jeddah, an emerging district of shops and markets in modern buildings with ongoing urban growth.
New shops here typically require powerful split units or simple central systems scaled to floor area and use.
The AC setup in Al Barakah
- 1
High-performance split unit for larger shops
New larger Al Barakah shops typically need high-capacity split units to handle southern heat and heavy daily use.
- 2
Simple central system for a local mall
Small to mid-sized local malls here may receive a simple central system with single metalwork run, scaled to their footprint and heat load.
- 3
Outdoor units on secure modern roofs
Modern building roofs in Al Barakah are stronger and more stable, so outdoor unit installation is easier and safer than in older districts.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Barakah
- 1
Measure the space and identify heat loads
Share shop dimensions, windows, doors and heat sources like lighting and equipment so we size the unit correctly.
- 2
Identify outdoor unit and drain locations
Point to the roof or planned outdoor unit location and show where AC condensate will drain.
- 3
Check electrical capacity and utility baseline
Ensure your electrical panel can handle the AC load, and ask us for advice on expected electricity consumption.

FAQ
Questions about Mall & retail HVAC
How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?
An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.
Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?
Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.
Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?
A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.
How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?
Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.
Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?
The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.
I'm opening a new shop in Al Barakah, do I need extra-strong cooling or will a standard unit do?
We measure space and heat load precisely, but most new Al Barakah shops need higher-capacity units than northern districts because of the south's intense heat.
Is a light central system cheaper than multiple split units?
It depends on shop size and zoning needs, we present both options and recommend what suits you economically and technically after measuring.
Heat in south Jeddah drives up electricity use, will consumption be very high?
Consumption will certainly be higher, but right-sizing the unit and regular maintenance cuts waste, and we recommend high-efficiency models.
My shop is still under construction, can we plan the AC location now?
Yes, we visit under-construction sites, mark outdoor unit and ductwork locations, and plan electrical runs before completion, so installation flows smoothly when the build finishes.
