When you need a retail HVAC specialist
- 1
A new mall or shopping centre
A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.
- 2
An existing shop with uneven cooling
The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.
- 3
Condensate dripping on shelves or display
A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.
Who it's for
Opening a new shop inside a mall
We design an independent unit for your space and install ductwork and condensate lines before finishing work so your opening is not delayed.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging an existing commercial complex
We review the existing system and set a preventive and corrective maintenance contract scheduled outside trading hours so tenants are not affected.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Site survey and loads
We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.
- 2
Design and materials
We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.
- 3
Installation coordinated on site
We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.
- 4
Start-up and maintenance contract
We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.
Designed for the space or just fitted?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |

| Condensate | Dedicated line away from stock | Risk of drips on shelves |
| Maintenance | Scheduled outside shop hours | Surprise outage during trade |
| Copper purity | Mueller copper, 99% pure, no welds | Unspecified pipe source |

What sets this district apart
Al Majami' is a remote northern commercial district with scattered complexes and shops spread across wide distances between modern buildings. Intense summer heat and high coastal humidity greatly increase AC load, and long distances between shops mean longer duct runs and greater heat loss. Selecting units with sufficient power and well-insulated ducts is essential. Regular coil, duct and filter maintenance keeps efficiency steady, and coordinating with the complex's central management protects business operations.
Al Majami' sits in far-north remote Jeddah, a scattered commercial district with complexes and shops spread across wide spaces.
Most complexes use high-power central units with long insulated ducts to cover the wide distances.
The AC setup in Al Majami'
- 1
High-capacity central system with long insulated ducts
Large complexes here need a very high-capacity central unit with thick-gauge insulated ducts to cover wide distances with minimal heat loss.
- 2
Air distribution boxes at strategic points
Main ducts branch at distribution boxes positioned between shops to reduce individual duct lengths.
- 3
Dehumidifier and smart humidity monitoring
Remote coastal areas need an extra dehumidifier and smart humidity monitoring to ensure continuous moisture control.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Majami'
- 1
Provide a complete complex plan with distances
A diagram showing shop locations, distances between them and the outdoor unit position helps us assess the system accurately.
- 2
Show coastal conditions and humidity exposure
Photos showing proximity to sea, prevailing winds and visible humidity help us understand expected corrosion levels.
- 3
Coordinate timing for comprehensive maintenance away from peak
Comprehensive maintenance may require temporary system shutdown, so we agree on quiet times or weekends.

FAQ
Questions about Mall & retail HVAC
How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?
An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.
Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?
Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.
Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?
A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.
How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?
Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.
Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?
The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.
Shops are far apart; can one AC system cover them all equally?
Yes, but we need precise heat load calculations for each zone and well-insulated ducts. We visit to assess distances and layout, then select a unit with adequate capacity.
Intense summer heat and sea humidity; can the system handle both?
Yes, but the system must be sized with extra capacity due to harsh conditions. Specialist filters, an extra dehumidifier and frequent maintenance are essential to maintain performance.
Distribution ducts are very long; is there heat loss?
Yes, long ducts lose heat, but good insulation reduces it significantly. We use high-thickness insulated ducts and plan routing to minimise distance where possible.
How long does regular maintenance of this large system take and what does it cost?
Thorough coil and duct maintenance takes a full day or two depending on system size. Cost depends on scope and cleanliness required; send us a photo or description and we will provide a quote.
