When you need a retail HVAC specialist

  1. 1

A new mall or shopping centre

A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.

  2. 2

An existing shop with uneven cooling

The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.

  3. 3

Condensate dripping on shelves or display

A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.

Who it's for

  • Opening a new shop inside a mall

We design an independent unit for your space and install ductwork and condensate lines before finishing work so your opening is not delayed.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Site survey and loads

We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.

  2. 2

    Design and materials

We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.

  3. 3

    Installation coordinated on site

We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.

  4. 4

    Start-up and maintenance contract

We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Al Rahmaniyah is a busy commercial district known for large warehouses and shops, and buildings here are more spread out than the old quarters but the heat and coastal humidity create heavy strain on AC units. Warehouses especially need intensive filter and coil cleaning because dust and moisture can clog the ducts quickly. Our servicing focuses on deep cleaning to prevent dust buildup and mould from humidity, and regular checks of fans and compressors.

Al Rahmaniyah lies in eastern Jeddah near industrial zones and the coast, a district of large warehouses and shops with wide, scattered buildings.

Most warehouses and large shops here run centralised or multi-unit systems and need monthly filter cleaning at minimum due to coastal dust and moisture.

The AC setup in Al Rahmaniyah

  1. 1

    Centralised systems for large warehouses

Large warehouses and shops in Al Rahmaniyah are usually fitted with powerful centralised systems to cover wide spaces efficiently.

  2. 2

    Multi-unit systems for separate sections

Many warehouses divide the space into sections with separate outdoor units to maintain independent control and efficiency.

  3. 3

Heavy-duty filters against dust and moisture

Coastal dust and humidity demand stronger-than-standard filters, so we use high-grade types that maintain efficiency longer.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Rahmaniyah

  1. 1

Tell us warehouse size and sections

Before our visit, send a sketch or description of warehouse dimensions, separate sections and number of outdoor units so we can plan servicing efficiently.

  2. 2

Confirm access to roofs and external walls

Outdoor units are usually on roofs or external walls. Confirm that our team can reach them safely without obstacles.

  3. 3

Schedule servicing away from peak operations

Choose a servicing time during quieter hours if possible, or let us know peak times so we can work around operations.

FAQ

Questions about Mall & retail HVAC

How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?

An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.

Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?

Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.

Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?

A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.

How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?

Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.

Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?

The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.

My warehouse is near the main road and there is lots of dust; does that affect the AC?

Yes, a lot. Road dust clogs filters and coils quickly. We clean filters monthly at minimum and recommend higher-grade filters that handle heavier loads.

Al Rahmaniyah is close to the sea and humidity is high; does that create more problems?

Yes, coastal humidity speeds up mould and rust on coils and fans. We regularly clean the drain pan and ducts and inspect outdoor units to prevent corrosion.

Can warehouse AC be serviced during working hours, or must it close?

It depends on warehouse size and system type. Routine servicing can happen during hours, but deep cleaning and repairs need coordination with warehouse management to minimise disruption.

How often should I have the units serviced here?

Because of dust and high humidity, we recommend monthly servicing to clean filters and coils and check the compressor and fans, plus a deeper quarterly inspection.
