When you need a retail HVAC specialist
- 1
A new mall or shopping centre
A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.
- 2
An existing shop with uneven cooling
The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.
- 3
Condensate dripping on shelves or display
A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.
Who it's for
Opening a new shop inside a mall
We design an independent unit for your space and install ductwork and condensate lines before finishing work so your opening is not delayed.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging an existing commercial complex
We review the existing system and set a preventive and corrective maintenance contract scheduled outside trading hours so tenants are not affected.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Site survey and loads
We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.
- 2
Design and materials
We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.
- 3
Installation coordinated on site
We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.
- 4
Start-up and maintenance contract
We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.
Designed for the space or just fitted?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |

| Condensate | Dedicated line away from stock | Risk of drips on shelves |
| Maintenance | Scheduled outside shop hours | Surprise outage during trade |
| Copper purity | Mueller copper, 99% pure, no welds | Unspecified pipe source |

What sets this district apart
Al Riyadh is a developed eastern district mixing residential and retail in modern buildings with better architectural design than older eastern areas. Shops here typically have reasonable heights and medium floor plates, benefiting from central AC or multiple splits. The dry eastern heat, strong lighting and steady foot traffic mean filters and cooling coils need regular maintenance, especially in long-trading shops.
Al Riyadh sits in east Jeddah, a developed district of shops and services in modern buildings along the eastern roads.
Shops in Al Riyadh typically run multiple splits or light central AC because of medium floor plates and modern building design.
The AC setup in Al Riyadh
- 1
Double or triple split for medium shops
Most Al Riyadh shops use two or more split units to cover the space evenly, each with separate or shared outdoor units.
- 2
Light central AC with simple ducts
Some larger Al Riyadh shops prefer a simplified central system over multiple splits, offering even distribution and simpler maintenance.
- 3
Shared outdoor unit for multiple splits
In Al Riyadh, multiple indoor units may share one outdoor unit, saving façade space and initial costs.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Riyadh
- 1
Identify all outdoor unit locations
Before the visit, tell us where each outdoor unit is (façade, balcony, roof) so we can plan access and work flow.
- 2
Coordinate with building management if units are shared
If the outdoor unit is shared with other shops or flats, agree with management on maintenance timing to avoid any clash.
- 3
Ensure safe working space inside the shop
Busy shops can be tight. Ensure there is clear space around indoor units and that stock and customers won't obstruct the team's work.

FAQ
Questions about Mall & retail HVAC
How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?
An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.
Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?
Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.
Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?
A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.
How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?
Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.
Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?
The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.
The dry eastern heat seems to strain the AC, how do we handle it?
Dry eastern heat raises cooling load, especially if east-facing walls take sun all day. We recommend checking the outdoor unit's capacity and ensuring all external openings are well sealed.
The AC seems to run non-stop at midday, is that normal?
Yes, midday peak brings the highest heat load from direct sun, interior lighting and customers. Regular filter and condenser cleaning improves efficiency and reduces runtime.
The ducts here are relatively new, do they need cleaning as often as older shops?
Newer buildings may be less exposed to heavy dust, but customer traffic and bright lighting mean ducts gradually gather debris. We recommend duct cleaning every two years minimum, or as needed.
Do you offer maintenance contracts or do we call each time?
We offer regular maintenance contracts based on the shop's needs and units. A contract covers scheduled inspections and routine cleaning. Send photos of the unit and space on WhatsApp and we will suggest the right plan and cost.
