When you need a retail HVAC specialist
- 1
A new mall or shopping centre
A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.
- 2
An existing shop with uneven cooling
The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.
- 3
Condensate dripping on shelves or display
A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.
Who it's for
Opening a new shop inside a mall
We design an independent unit for your space and install ductwork and condensate lines before finishing work so your opening is not delayed.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging an existing commercial complex
We review the existing system and set a preventive and corrective maintenance contract scheduled outside trading hours so tenants are not affected.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Site survey and loads
We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.
- 2
Design and materials
We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.
- 3
Installation coordinated on site
We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.
- 4
Start-up and maintenance contract
We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.
Designed for the space or just fitted?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |

| Condensate | Dedicated line away from stock | Risk of drips on shelves |
| Maintenance | Scheduled outside shop hours | Surprise outage during trade |
| Copper purity | Mueller copper, 99% pure, no welds | Unspecified pipe source |

What sets this district apart
Al Thaghr is an older district mixing traditional and modern shops on narrow, congested streets. The goods on display, often food or textiles, are humidity-sensitive, and continuous crowds mean constant door cycles and cooling loss. This demands robust cooling and frequent maintenance because dust and humidity build up fast in street-level shops.
Al Thaghr is in south Jeddah, an older commercial district of diverse shops on narrow, busy streets.
Most Al Thaghr shops run single splits or window units due to space constraints, with outdoor units mounted on street facades or small upper balconies.
The AC setup in Al Thaghr
- 1
Single split for most small shops
Narrow Al Thaghr shops rely on one split, occasionally two for slightly wider spaces.
- 2
Window units in older shopfronts
Some older shops have not upgraded to split systems and still use powerful window units with sturdy frames.
- 3
Outdoor mounting on small upper balconies
Outdoor units are often mounted on small upper balconies above ground-floor shops or on narrow street facades.

FAQ
Questions about Mall & retail HVAC
How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?
An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.
Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?
Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.
Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?
A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.
How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?
Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.
Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?
The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.
My shop is street-facing with customers constantly opening the door, how do you keep it cool?
We fit units with sufficient cooling capacity to offset continuous loss, and recommend slow-close doors or air curtains where possible to reduce leakage.
My goods are food items sensitive to humidity, how do you protect them from mould and spoilage?
We select units with large cooling coils and high dehumidification, and clean filters weekly since coastal moisture and street dust accumulate rapidly.
The street is dusty and full of exhaust, how do you protect the outdoor unit?
We clean coils and filters fortnightly, use a protective cover for the outdoor unit when not running heavily, and check monthly for unobstructed airflow.
Low ceilings and tight space limit your options, what can you do?
We fit a single split or high-efficiency window unit with precise thermostat control, and locate the outdoor unit carefully to avoid noise and vibration.
