Split AC installation in Al Baghdadiyah Al Sharqiyah

Split AC installation in Al Baghdadiyah Al Sharqiyah, a modern central district, demands precision in copper runs and drainage because the buildings here are open and outdoor units face sun exposure all day. We run insulated pipes with correct drain fall before vacuuming and start-up.

  • Mueller copper
  • Full vacuum
  • Proper drain

When you need a proper installer

  1. 1

A new unit for a room or flat

You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.

  2. 2

Not sure where the outdoor unit goes

In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.

  3. 3

A past install that went wrong

Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.

Who it's for

  • Moving into a new flat that needs AC

We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.

    Ask on WhatsApp
  • Fitting AC in a shop or office

We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.

  2. 2

    Agree positions and route

On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.

  3. 3

    Fit and vacuum

We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.

  4. 4

    Start-up and handover

We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.
  • An indoor AHU unit connected to round ductwork in a mechanical plant room, exposed concrete ceiling.

What sets this district apart

Al Baghdadiyah Al Sharqiyah's buildings are newer and more spacious than the old districts, with flats and villas that have adequate outdoor space for the units. That eases transport and mounting, but intense sun on the facades means copper lines and drainage must be fully insulated to prevent leaks and quick degradation. Placing the outdoor unit affects cooling efficiency and noise directly, so we mount it where airflow is good and away from facing walls.

Al Baghdadiyah Al Sharqiyah is a modern central Jeddah district with spaced residential buildings on open plots and adequate outdoor space.

Most outdoor units here mount on open external walls or side-facing walls away from immediate neighbours.

The AC setup in Al Baghdadiyah Al Sharqiyah

  1. 1

Split units in villas with long copper runs

Villas here are spaced apart, so copper runs between indoor and outdoor units may be long and require careful insulation.

  2. 2

Split units in apartment blocks with multi-storey drainage

Multi-storey apartment blocks need drainage routed through wall chases or external channels at consistent fall.

  3. 3

Sun-exposed outdoor units need extra insulation

Open external walls expose the unit and pipes to direct heat, so we use thicker insulation and reflective heat coatings.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Baghdadiyah Al Sharqiyah

  1. 1

Choose your preferred outdoor unit location

Before the visit, decide which external wall or spot you prefer for the outdoor unit, noting sun and wind exposure.

  2. 2

Confirm electrical circuit access or board location

Check the main distribution board location and any circuits near the indoor unit's proposed position.

  3. 3

    Clear parking and equipment passage

Arrange a close, safe parking spot, and ensure a clear path for moving equipment from the vehicle into the building.

FAQ

Questions about Split AC installation

Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?

Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.

Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?

New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.

Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?

Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.

Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?

It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.

What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?

We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.

Our villas have wide roofs, should you mount the outdoor unit on top?

The roof causes excessive heat around the unit and reduces its efficiency. We prefer mounting it on a partly shaded side wall or external face where airflow is good.

Al Baghdadiyah's streets are wide, any issues bringing in the units and gear?

The wide streets make transport and unloading straightforward. We agree in advance on a safe, close parking spot, which needs no complex coordination with neighbours.

Heat is intense here and sun faces the wall all day, does this shorten the unit's life?

Direct sun speeds condensing coil and copper line degradation. We fully insulate all pipes with thick casing and choose the outdoor unit's position for partial shade.

The villa's wiring is older, do we need a new electrical circuit for the AC?

It depends on the current electrical load and the area the unit will cool. We inspect the existing circuit and determine if it handles the load, or run a new dedicated circuit directly from the distribution board.
