Fitted right first time
Split AC installation in Al Jamea
In Al Jamea, central Jeddah, split installation calls for precision in the copper run and drain because most residential flats are modest in size and need balanced cooling. Alrabih's team vacuums the refrigerant line before start-up, so the unit works efficiently from day one.
- Mueller copper
- Full vacuum
- Proper drain

When you need a proper installer
- 1
A new unit for a room or flat
You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.
- 2
Not sure where the outdoor unit goes
In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.
- 3
A past install that went wrong
Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.
Who it's for
Moving into a new flat that needs AC
We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.
Ask on WhatsAppFitting AC in a shop or office
We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

What the installation covers
- Site check and unit positions
- Insulated copper, sealed wall core
- Drain line with correct fall
- Vacuum and leak test
- Start-up test with you present
How we work
How we work
- 1
Send a photo
WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.
- 2
Agree positions and route
On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.
- 3
Fit and vacuum
We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.
- 4
Start-up and handover
We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.
A careful install or a rushed one?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Vacuum | Pumped before start-up | Often skipped |
| Copper | Mueller, fully insulated | Patchy insulation |
| Drain | Falls, so no drips | Water down the wall |
| Outdoor unit spot | Airy and easy to reach | Wherever it fits |
| Wall opening | Sealed tight | Dust gets through |

What sets this district apart
Al Jamea is a densely built residential district of adjacent mid-sized flats in multi-storey blocks, with limited open space between outdoor units. Split installation here requires careful siting of the outdoor unit on a balcony or facade, and ensuring the copper run does not cross building passages or neighbours' windows. The drain must slope correctly outward without leaking down the walls below.
Al Jamea is in central Jeddah, a dense residential family district of multi-storey apartment blocks with closely spaced flats.
Most flats here are individual split installations, with outdoor units mounted on narrow balconies or building facades.
The AC setup in Al Jamea
- 1
Individual split unit per flat
Each flat in Al Jamea relies on its own split unit, as the dense residential blocks do not allow for a shared central system.
- 2
Outdoor unit on balcony or facade
The outdoor unit is mounted on relatively narrow balconies or the building edge, requiring strong, safe fixing.
- 3
Relatively short copper run between the two units
Because space is tight, the copper run stays short, which helps efficiency and reduces cooling loss.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Jamea
- 1
Check the balcony or facade is structurally sound
Make sure the balcony or facade wall can safely hold the outdoor unit before the visit.
- 2
Plan the copper pipe route
We agree together on the best route for the copper and drain so it does not cross neighbours' windows or passages.
- 3
Notify neighbours about the installation time
Drilling and fixing may make noise, so let neighbours know the installation time in advance, especially on higher floors.

FAQ
Questions about Split AC installation
Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?
Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.
Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?
New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.
Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?
Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.
Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?
It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.
What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?
We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.
How far can the copper run safely reach from the outdoor unit?
It depends on the unit size and the copper run length needed. We measure the balcony position beforehand and route the pipes to avoid neighbours' windows or building passages.
Does installing on a high floor change the process?
Yes, outdoor units on higher floors need extra-secure mounting on the balcony, and we assess the structural safety before starting.
Summer heat is intense on our balconies, does it affect the outdoor unit?
Yes, direct sun on the outdoor unit lowers its efficiency, so we try to position it in the least exposed spot if possible, and regular cleaning helps maintain output.
Can you slope the drain away from the neighbour's balcony below?
Yes, we check the drain path before installation and slope it safely outward or route it down the side of the balcony away from your neighbours.
