Fitted right first time
Split AC installation in Prince Fawaz South
In Prince Fawaz South, split installation differs slightly from other districts because the area has medium-sized villas and simpler residential blocks. Alrabih installs with the same precision, but accounts for lower roofs and tighter spaces.
- Mueller copper
- Full vacuum
- Proper drain

When you need a proper installer
- 1
A new unit for a room or flat
You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.
- 2
Not sure where the outdoor unit goes
In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.
- 3
A past install that went wrong
Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.
Who it's for
Moving into a new flat that needs AC
We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.
Ask on WhatsAppFitting AC in a shop or office
We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

What the installation covers
- Site check and unit positions
- Insulated copper, sealed wall core
- Drain line with correct fall
- Vacuum and leak test
- Start-up test with you present
How we work
How we work
- 1
Send a photo
WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.
- 2
Agree positions and route
On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.
- 3
Fit and vacuum
We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.
- 4
Start-up and handover
We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.
A careful install or a rushed one?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Vacuum | Pumped before start-up | Often skipped |
| Copper | Mueller, fully insulated | Patchy insulation |
| Drain | Falls, so no drips | Water down the wall |
| Outdoor unit spot | Airy and easy to reach | Wherever it fits |
| Wall opening | Sealed tight | Dust gets through |

What sets this district apart
Prince Fawaz South is a medium-density residential area mixing medium-sized villas and simple apartment blocks, with roofs that sit not much higher than the top flats. This means outdoor units often sit close to occupied flats, shortening copper runs but complicating placement if the roof is tight or hemmed in by barriers. Vibration and noise from a nearby outdoor unit can disturb neighbours, so we choose mounting bases and isolators carefully to control sound.
Prince Fawaz South sits in south Jeddah, a medium-density residential district of modest villas and simple apartment blocks.
Most units here are single splits per flat or villa, with outdoor units on roofs close to the top flats.
The AC setup in Prince Fawaz South
- 1
One split per villa or flat
Most villas and apartment blocks here choose one split per dwelling rather than a central system.
- 2
Roofs close to top flats
Roof height here sits only slightly above the top floors, shortening copper runs but potentially limiting space for the outdoor unit.
- 3
Outdoor units near occupied flats
Proximity to inhabited flats demands careful attention to sound and vibration isolation to avoid disturbing residents.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Prince Fawaz South
- 1
Confirm clear space around the roof
Check the roof before the visit to ensure no barriers or equipment will obstruct the outdoor unit placement.
- 2
Choose a quieter spot for the outdoor unit if possible
If you have options, select a location away from neighbours' windows or occupied balconies to reduce noise impact.
- 3
Mark the piping and drain route with the team
Agree with our team on the best route for copper and drain before work starts, especially if space on the roof is limited.

FAQ
Questions about Split AC installation
Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?
Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.
Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?
New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.
Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?
Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.
Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?
It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.
What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?
We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.
The outdoor unit sits close to flats, how do you reduce noise and vibration?
We fit rubber isolators under the outdoor unit and flexible connections for the piping to reduce vibration transmission to the roof and walls. We also choose lower-noise units when possible.
Our roof is tight, will that cause problems mounting the outdoor unit?
If the roof is tight, we assess whether there is safe space around the unit for airflow, and may suggest mounting on a balcony or outer wall instead.
Roofs here are not very high, does that affect cooling?
Roof height does not affect performance as long as the outdoor unit has good airflow on all sides. We ensure no vents are blocked by barriers or other equipment.
What is the typical copper run length in this area?
Because roofs sit close to the flats, runs typically range from 5 to 10 metres. Shorter runs mean lower cost and less heat loss, but the actual positions of both units determine final length.
