Precision-made ductwork

AC duct manufacturing in Prince Fawaz South

In Prince Fawaz South, residential and commercial projects increasingly rely on central AC with ducting, yet on-site duct cutting wastes cold air quickly. Alrabih manufactures complete ducts in the workshop to precise specifications, sealed with Foster sealant, and ready to hang.

When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

What sets this district apart

Prince Fawaz South is a relatively modern district mixing diverse housing from villas and flats with small and medium commercial projects, with many new additions choosing central AC for its efficiency. Workshop-made ducts maintain system integrity better than quick on-site cutting and installation, reducing energy waste that drives up bills in the intense heat of south Jeddah.

Prince Fawaz South lies in south Jeddah, a mixed district combining diverse housing and small commercial projects.

Most new residential projects in Prince Fawaz use horizontal air handlers with two or three distribution duct lines depending on building size.

The AC setup in Prince Fawaz South

  1. 1

Parallel ducts for villa and flat units

Villas and flats in Prince Fawaz need parallel ducts branching from one main trunk to distribute cool air evenly across different rooms.

  2. 2

Round ducts for tight ceiling spaces

Some relatively older villas have tight ceiling voids, so we use smaller round ducts that fit more easily between beams.

  3. 3

Acoustic-lined ducts for residential apartment blocks

Residential apartment blocks may request acoustic-lined ducts to reduce airflow noise between adjacent units and flats.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Prince Fawaz South

  1. 1

Send engineering drawing and exact measurements

Send us the building drawing and actual ceiling and room dimensions before we visit to calculate duct sizes with full accuracy.

  2. 2

Confirm air handler and plenum locations

Tell us exactly where the air handler and main plenum box are located to plan the best duct and branch route.

  3. 3

Ensure safe ceiling and opening access

Check that you have safe access to the ceiling and spaces for duct installation, with suitable ladders and protective measures in place.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Villas and flats here vary greatly in size; how do you make ducts that fit all?

We ask for details of each building separately, calculate duct dimensions based on unit size, outlet count and floor height, and manufacture a custom set for each project.

How do you deliver workshop ducts to sites across Prince Fawaz?

We use open or covered transport depending on order size; Prince Fawaz has reasonably wide streets, so delivery to any location is straightforward.

The southern heat is intense; do insulated ducts keep air cool while passing through unconditioned spaces?

We fully insulate all ducts to prevent heat absorption from outside, keeping air temperature stable even when passing through unconditioned spaces.

Humidity in Prince Fawaz causes condensation on ducts; how do you prevent this?

Full insulation reduces the temperature difference between duct interior and humid outdoor air, preventing most condensation and moisture seepage into ceilings.
