When a window unit is the right choice

  1. 1

A room with no outdoor unit space

Some rooms have no wall facing a suitable space for an outdoor unit. A window AC is the practical answer: one unit in the opening cools the room and expels heat directly outside.

  2. 2

An annex, staff housing or storeroom

Annexes, staff rooms and warehouses need real cooling without the cost of long copper and cable runs. A window unit suits these spaces well when the right opening exists or can be made.

  3. 3

An existing window of the right size

When a wall already has a window opening that matches the unit you have chosen, the frame fits straight in without cutting new concrete. We confirm at the survey that the opening suits the unit and the wall carries the load.

Who it's for

  • Need to cool a maid's room or home annex

We survey the opening or proposed wall in the annex, fit the unit in a secure frame and seal every gap so no hot humid air enters the space.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp us a photo of the opening or the proposed wall and your district, so the technician arrives with the right frame and fixings.

  2. 2

    Site survey

On site the technician measures the opening, checks the wall, confirms there is a suitable power point near the unit, and agrees with you on any changes needed before starting.

  3. 3

    Fit and seal

We fit the frame level, set the unit with the correct outward tilt, then seal every gap around the frame so no hot air, dust or humidity enters.

  4. 4

    Start-up and handover

We run the unit, check the cooling and confirm condensate flows outward, then leave the space clean and show you how to clean the filter.

What sets this district apart

Al Ain Al Aziziyah is marked by large villas and residential mid-rises with multiple window sizes facing south and east, so desert heat and dust push through forcefully. Installing a window unit here requires choosing a window sheltered from direct sun and ensuring robust frame sealing, because dust-laden inland winds find the tiniest gaps. Each window opening needs individual inspection because frames may vary from room to room.

Al Ain Al Aziziyah sits in central Jeddah, a mixed district of villas and residential blocks in open terrain exposed to desert winds.

Al Ain Al Aziziyah windows vary in size and orientation, requiring individual assessment of each location before selecting the right window unit.

The AC setup in Al Ain Al Aziziyah

  1. 1

Installation on relatively sheltered villa windows

We prefer villa windows on east or north sides to reduce exposure to desert winds and intense heat.

  2. 2

Multi-layer sealing against winds and dust

The open terrain requires multiple sealing layers of silicone and foam to prevent fine dust and strong wind ingress.

  3. 3

    Safe drainage with wind-back protection

We install the unit at a safe drainage angle and regularly clear the outlet, as dust can clog it quickly.

Clear a wide space round both the outside and inside of the window to ease the team's work and allow clear frame inspection.

FAQ

Questions about Window AC installation

Can you cut a new opening in the wall if there is none?

Yes, if no suitable opening exists we can cut one. At the survey we check the wall type and thickness and look for columns or cables that might be in the way, then agree the best position with you before any cutting begins.

Why does the outward tilt matter on a window unit?

A window unit produces condensate on its indoor side throughout operation. If the unit sits level or tilts inward, water pools in the base and runs down the inside wall. A slight outward tilt sends that water to the back of the unit and out, away from the wall and furniture.

How do you seal the gaps around the frame given Jeddah's climate?

Jeddah combines high heat, humidity and salty sea air, so sealing materials must hold up in those conditions. We use insulating and sealing materials suited to the opening and wall type, and the survey determines the right choice based on the gap size and wall construction.

Does a window unit need its own power point?

A window unit draws a high current at start-up, and sharing a socket with other appliances strains the wiring and trips the breaker. The technician checks at the survey that a suitable socket is close to the unit position, and if one is not there we explain what is needed before installation proceeds.

Does the weight of a window unit affect how it is fixed?

Yes, the unit's weight directly affects how the frame is fixed and what support is needed. A concrete wall requires different treatment from a brick wall, and a wide opening needs more support than a narrow one. The technician decides at the survey what fixing method and materials suit the unit and the wall.

Desert winds blow dust through every gap, how do you protect the installation?

We apply dual-layer sealing with silicone and high-density foam round the entire frame, and test the gaps after installation.

My villa has south-facing windows, where do you recommend installing the window unit?

We recommend an east or north-facing window if possible, to cut direct summer sun exposure, and we assess the site on the visit.

High heat and dust speed up corrosion of the metal frame, does this affect installation?

We select stainless-steel anchors and fasteners, and apply protective coating round the fixing points for long-term protection.

Is my ground-floor window in the mid-rise safe for installation?

Yes, but we check the concrete frame's strength and any external protection from dust and moisture before installation.
