When a window unit is the right choice

  1. 1

A room with no outdoor unit space

Some rooms have no wall facing a suitable space for an outdoor unit. A window AC is the practical answer: one unit in the opening cools the room and expels heat directly outside.

  2. 2

An annex, staff housing or storeroom

Annexes, staff rooms and warehouses need real cooling without the cost of long copper and cable runs. A window unit suits these spaces well when the right opening exists or can be made.

  3. 3

An existing window of the right size

When a wall already has a window opening that matches the unit you have chosen, the frame fits straight in without cutting new concrete. We confirm at the survey that the opening suits the unit and the wall carries the load.

Who it's for

  • Need to cool a maid's room or home annex

We survey the opening or proposed wall in the annex, fit the unit in a secure frame and seal every gap so no hot humid air enters the space.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp us a photo of the opening or the proposed wall and your district, so the technician arrives with the right frame and fixings.

  2. 2

    Site survey

On site the technician measures the opening, checks the wall, confirms there is a suitable power point near the unit, and agrees with you on any changes needed before starting.

  3. 3

    Fit and seal

We fit the frame level, set the unit with the correct outward tilt, then seal every gap around the frame so no hot air, dust or humidity enters.

  4. 4

    Start-up and handover

We run the unit, check the cooling and confirm condensate flows outward, then leave the space clean and show you how to clean the filter.

What sets this district apart

Al Rabwah's mid-rise flats and modern villas have standard-sized windows and strong concrete frames that take window units confidently. Yet the proximity to Jeddah's coast means humid, salty air requiring robust sealing round the frame to prevent moisture and dust seeping indoors. Choosing the right window position and levelling the unit precisely protect against water ingress and rapid clogging of the drain outlet.

Al Rabwah sits in central Jeddah, a mixed district of residential mid-rises and modern villas close to the coast.

Most windows in Al Rabwah are standard-sized in concrete frames, making window unit installation a consistent and reliable process.

The AC setup in Al Rabwah

  1. 1

Direct installation on the concrete window frame

Most Al Rabwah windows have sturdy concrete frames, allowing direct mounting of the unit with heavy-duty metal anchors.

  2. 2

Robust sealing against salty air and moisture

The coastal location requires advanced silicone and foam sealing to prevent salt and moisture seeping through gaps.

  3. 3

    Ensured external drain for condensate

We mount the unit with a slight outward tilt and clear the drain outlet to ensure rapid condensate drainage away from interior walls.

FAQ

Questions about Window AC installation

Can you cut a new opening in the wall if there is none?

Yes, if no suitable opening exists we can cut one. At the survey we check the wall type and thickness and look for columns or cables that might be in the way, then agree the best position with you before any cutting begins.

Why does the outward tilt matter on a window unit?

A window unit produces condensate on its indoor side throughout operation. If the unit sits level or tilts inward, water pools in the base and runs down the inside wall. A slight outward tilt sends that water to the back of the unit and out, away from the wall and furniture.

How do you seal the gaps around the frame given Jeddah's climate?

Jeddah combines high heat, humidity and salty sea air, so sealing materials must hold up in those conditions. We use insulating and sealing materials suited to the opening and wall type, and the survey determines the right choice based on the gap size and wall construction.

Does a window unit need its own power point?

A window unit draws a high current at start-up, and sharing a socket with other appliances strains the wiring and trips the breaker. The technician checks at the survey that a suitable socket is close to the unit position, and if one is not there we explain what is needed before installation proceeds.

Does the weight of a window unit affect how it is fixed?

Yes, the unit's weight directly affects how the frame is fixed and what support is needed. A concrete wall requires different treatment from a brick wall, and a wide opening needs more support than a narrow one. The technician decides at the survey what fixing method and materials suit the unit and the wall.

Does the salty air near the coast affect window AC installation?

Yes, salt causes corrosion of the frame and metal, so we use high-grade sealing materials round the frame and select rust-resistant fastening materials.

My window is on the third floor of a flat, can you install safely?

Yes, our team works at height, and we check the concrete frame's strength and secure the unit with heavy-duty anchors before starting.

High humidity in Al Rabwah causes water leakage from the window unit, how do you prevent this?

We seal all gaps round the frame with robust, moisture-resistant silicone and ensure the unit tilts outward to drain condensate quickly.

Does an older concrete frame need reinforcement before installation?

It depends on the concrete's condition, which we check on the visit and advise you if reinforcement is needed before mounting the unit.
