When your display fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Glass fogs or sweats

In Jeddah's humid air and air-conditioned shops, moisture collects on the door glass or thick frost builds up. The cause is usually the door frame heater resistance or the door seal; the site decides which.

  2. 2

    Stock spoiling or uneven temperatures

If upper shelves are warmer than lower ones, or open multideck zones read outside the required range, a fan fault or blocked cold-air path is likely. We measure shelf temperatures along the cabinet and find where the fault lies.

  3. 3

Hot condenser in a poorly cooled shop

A display cabinet throws a lot of heat into the shop floor. When the shop's cooling is insufficient, the condenser air temperature rises, the compressor works harder and the cabinet loses its chill. The fix starts with assessing the cabinet's location and the ventilation around it.

Who it's for

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp a photo of the cabinet, your district and a brief description of the problem; the team can prepare the right tools before the visit.

  2. 2

    Site survey and measurement

The technician measures shelf temperatures, inspects the condenser, fans, air curtain and door seals, and reviews the ventilation around the cabinet before touching anything.

  3. 3

    Diagnosis and explanation

After measuring we tell you exactly what is wrong and what needs to be done, and you approve the work before the technician starts.

  4. 4

    Repair and verify

We fix the fault, then re-measure shelf temperatures and verify the air curtain, lighting and fans before leaving the shop.

What sets this district apart

Al Mahamid is an industrial and commercial area in east Jeddah with small to medium food manufacturers, large warehouses and wholesale shops spread across wide factory floors with ample parking. Display fridges here are often part of larger cooling systems serving multiple connected display stations on a unified network. The large inventory size and continuous production mean more frequent maintenance is needed because downtime significantly impacts output and sales.

Al Mahamid is in east Jeddah, an industrial and commercial area with food factories, large warehouses and ample open space.

Display fridges in Al Mahamid are usually large units connected in long rows sharing a single central cooling system.

The AC setup in Al Mahamid

  1. 1

Long rows of interconnected display fridges

Warehouses and factories in Al Mahamid use long rows of unified display units connected to a single central cooling system.

  2. 2

    Large industrial-scale display fridges

Warehouse and factory display fridges here have large dimensions and high storage capacity, with powerful condensers and industrial-scale fans.

  3. 3

    Multi-circuit unified central cooling systems

Larger factories may have multiple separate central cooling systems serving different factory sections.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Mahamid

  1. 1

Ensure the team and equipment can reach the warehouse easily

Make sure warehouse doors are adequate and turning space sufficient for moving heavy equipment and reaching all fridges in the row.

  2. 2

Identify which sections can be serviced offline

If you have multiple rows of fridges, agree with the team which sections can be safely taken offline without disrupting production.

  3. 3

    Gather current temperature readings

If you have thermometers or sensors, show us current readings from several points across the row before the visit.

FAQ

Questions about Display fridges & chillers

Why does thick frost build up on open multideck shelves?

An open multideck relies on a cold air curtain to keep shop air out. If the fan weakens or nearby AC airflow deflects the curtain, shop humidity enters the cabinet and frost builds. We check fan speed, air curtain direction and temperature at several points along the cabinet to find exactly where the fault is.

Does shop temperature affect how the display fridge performs?

Yes, and in Jeddah this is more noticeable in summer when the heat load rises. The condenser rejects heat into shop air; when that air is warm, the compressor works harder and shelf temperatures rise. We assess the cabinet's position and its distance from AC supply diffusers as part of the survey.

The cabinet lighting is dim or flickering; is that something you handle?

Yes, cabinet lighting is part of the service. Internal lighting matters to how your product looks, and a wiring fault there can affect other circuits. We check the wiring and driver and replace the faulty component as part of the job.

My display fridge is an unfamiliar brand; can you still work on it?

Display cabinet faults are mostly common across brands: refrigeration circuit, fan, air curtain, door seal, frame heater. We diagnose by measurement, not by brand. If a replacement part is needed we tell you before going further and you decide.

Can a new display cabinet be installed in an existing shop?

Yes, but the site decides what is needed. We assess the electrical supply, drain route and cabinet position relative to AC diffusers before installation; where the cabinet sits affects the air curtain and the shop's overall cooling load. The survey sets out exactly what is required before any work begins.

I have long rows of connected display fridges, how do you service them?

Our team can inspect and clean rows of connected fridges without disconnecting them, focusing on the central condenser and main fans to ensure even cooling throughout.

My warehouse is large and the fridges run non-stop from morning to night, does this affect them?

Running continuously for long hours increases the risk of ice and dust buildup on the condenser and coils, so we recommend maintenance every six weeks to keep them performing well.

Temperature varies between the first and last fridges in the row, how do I know the system is balanced?

We use handheld thermometers and sensors to check temperature at several points across the entire row, and clear air passages if we find deviations.

My factory runs continuously and the fridges cannot stop, how do we schedule maintenance?

We coordinate with you to schedule maintenance during production hours, working on limited sections at a time without halting all production.
