When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Abhur Al Shamaliyah buildings are modern and spacious, mostly luxury villas with large gardens and tall residential towers with good ventilation gaps between units. These larger layouts need long, precisely unified duct networks, and the coastal humidity in the north makes sealing and insulation essential to prevent cold-air leaks and moisture condensation on internal surfaces. Workshop manufacturing instead of on-site cutting ensures tight seams and uniform, thick insulation throughout.

Abhur Al Shamaliyah is in north Jeddah, a modern urban development zone of spacious villas and tall residential towers.

Most residential projects here use a central duct system serving multiple floors or wings from a single air handler.

The AC setup in Abhur Al Shamaliyah

  1. 1

    Multi-floor central duct network

The spacious villas and tower blocks here need long duct runs linking one air handler to multiple rooms and suites across different floors.

  2. 2

    Heavy insulation for coastal climate

High coastal humidity demands thick, tight insulation on all ducts to prevent cooling loss and internal condensation.

  3. 3

    Numbered sections ready to hang

Every section arrives numbered in exact assembly sequence, with sealed joints ready to hang immediately upon delivery.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Abhur Al Shamaliyah

  1. 1

    Provide blueprints or confirm dimensions

Share the project blueprint with us or confirm a precise measurement appointment for every duct run before we start manufacturing.

  2. 2

Confirm air handler location and outlet points

Clarify where the air handler will be placed and where the outlets go in each room so we manufacture ducts with exact dimensions.

  3. 3

Identify duct route and any obstacles

Inspect the passages and voids where ducts will run, and alert us to any structural obstacles (columns, beams) that might affect the route.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Why manufacture ducts in the workshop instead of cutting them on site?

On-site cutting leaves gaps and exposed edges that bleed cold air in Jeddah's high humidity. Workshop manufacturing ensures tight seams with uniform insulation and Foster sealant on every joint.

My project is large with different room layouts, how do you handle varying dimensions?

We take the project blueprint or visit to measure each section precisely, then manufacture custom ducts for every run with numbered sequences to simplify installation.

Does the coastal humidity here affect the insulation and sealing?

Yes, the high coastal humidity in Abhur Al Shamaliyah increases condensation risk, so we use thick insulation and tight Foster sealing on every joint to prevent air leaks and moisture buildup.

Are your manufactured ducts easy to install in tall tower buildings?

Yes, sections are numbered in sequence and dimensioned precisely, so the installation crew can connect them quickly and accurately, even in upper floors.
