Precision-made ductwork
AC duct manufacturing in Al Balad
In Al Balad, downtown Jeddah, central AC duct runs need airtight seams because coastal humidity and high heat mean any air leak wastes cooling. Alrabih manufactures your complete duct sections in the workshop, sealed, insulated and numbered, ready to hang.
- Sealed seams

When duct quality makes the difference
- 1
Duct losing cold air
An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.
- 2
Condensation wetting the ceiling
In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.
- 3
A project with many duct runs
A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.
Who it's for
Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork
We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Send sizes or drawings
Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.
- 2
Review sizes and sheet gauge
We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.
- 3
Fabricate, seal and insulate
We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.
- 4
Number and deliver
We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

What sets this district apart
Al Balad is a dense older residential district around the popular markets, mixing narrow villas, mid-rise apartment blocks and adjoining commercial units. Central AC here depends on complex duct routes through tight hallways and low ceilings, so precise measurement and careful workshop fabrication are essential to avoid on-site cuts and leaks that raise humidity and cut efficiency.
Al Balad sits in historic downtown Jeddah, an older district of closely built residential and commercial blocks around the popular souks.
Most central AC projects in Al Balad use supply and return ducts in varied diameters to fit the low ceilings and tight spaces.
The AC setup in Al Balad
- 1
Separate supply and return ducts
Old buildings in Al Balad need a separate supply duct for cold air and a return duct, each sized to fit the narrow hallway and ceiling height.
- 2
Insulated ducts on each floor
Manufacturing ducts with full insulation protects against cold leaks and condensation in the long hallways and low ceilings typical of Al Balad.
- 3
Numbered duct sections for quick installation
Each duct section is made in the workshop and labelled to match the drawing, so installation on site is quick without remeasuring.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Balad
- 1
Measure all duct routes and ceiling heights
We bring a precision meter and record the full duct run from the indoor unit to each air outlet, plus ceiling height in every passage.
- 2
Ensure access to ceilings and walls
Check that hallways and ceiling areas where ducts will run are clear of furniture and obstacles so we can measure freely.
- 3
Bring a building sketch or photo of the space
If you have a floor plan of the flat or villa, or even photos of hallways and ceilings, send them before we visit to speed up planning.

FAQ
Questions about AC duct manufacturing
How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?
We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.
Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?
Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.
Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?
Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.
Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?
Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.
Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?
The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.
My old building has tight hallways, can you make the ducts without cutting on site?
We take precise measurements on site, then manufacture the complete ducts in our workshop so they fit directly without any cutting or further adjustment.
How do you keep cold air from leaking out of the ducts in an old building?
We seal every duct joint with Foster sealant and fully insulate the ducts before delivery, so no cold air escapes from any opening.
Humidity in Al Balad is high, do insulated ducts protect against condensation?
Yes, full duct insulation reduces water condensation on the outer surface, especially in humid areas near the coast, but it also depends on the unit draining condensate properly.
The ceilings are very low, how do you fit the ducts and the indoor unit?
We plan the best duct route between the ceiling and walls during measurement, and may need to mount the indoor unit at an angle or adjust part of the run to save headroom.
