When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Harat Al Sham's older buildings hold small flats and shops with varying ceiling heights and tight passages between closely built walls. Workshop-made ducts cut to precise dimensions fit better than on-site cuts, reducing waste and the gaps that leak cold air in humid conditions. Each numbered section arrives ready to hang, making it easier to coordinate installation with local builders and contractors.

Harat Al Sham lies in Jeddah's historic downtown, an older densely built district mixing residential flats and shops with varied architectural styles.

Most central AC projects here need supply and return ducts in medium diameters, since the flats and shops cannot accommodate large trunk lines.

The AC setup in Harat Al Sham

  1. 1

Supply and return ducts for small flats

Most residential flats here are small, so we make ducts in specific diameters and lengths that fit the narrow passages and spaces between walls.

  2. 2

Plenums and distribution runs for shops

Commercial shops need plenums fitted within relatively low ceilings, which we make insulated and ready to hang.

  3. 3

Sealed, insulated sections with Foster sealing

Every duct section leaves the workshop fully sealed and insulated, cutting leaks and condensation in the humid air.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Harat Al Sham

  1. 1

Send detailed drawings and exact measurements ahead

Focus on the height and width of passages, ceilings and wall gaps, and send clear photos so we can manufacture the ducts precisely in the workshop.

  2. 2

Choose where to store made ducts before installation

The manufactured ducts need safe storage on or near the site before hanging, and ensure there is a safe passage to carry them from the vehicle.

  3. 3

Coordinate with the contractor on delivery and hanging date

Tell the contractor when the ducts arrive, and confirm that the installation crew is ready to hang them in numbered order.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Do you make ducts to fit our older building's exact dimensions?

Yes, we take exact measurements and manufacture the supply trunks, return ducts and plenums in our workshop to your project's exact dimensions, ensuring perfect fit in tight spaces and passages.

The streets are narrow, how do you deliver manufactured ducts to our site?

We cut the ducts into numbered sections that fit through narrow passages and can be carried by hand from the vehicle to the site, each ready to hang directly.

The old town's high humidity causes condensation on ducts, does insulation prevent this?

Yes, full insulation on every duct reduces the temperature difference between the cold air inside and the humid outside air, significantly reducing condensation in Jeddah's climate.

Duct leaks waste cooling and the electrician says the project will cost more, how do you cut that cost?

We seal every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop, which stops leaks from the start and cuts electricity consumption and long-term costs.
