When duct quality makes the difference
- 1
Duct losing cold air
An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.
- 2
Condensation wetting the ceiling
In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.
- 3
A project with many duct runs
A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.
Who it's for
Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork
We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Send sizes or drawings
Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.
- 2
Review sizes and sheet gauge
We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.
- 3
Fabricate, seal and insulate
We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.
- 4
Number and deliver
We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

What sets this district apart
Al Gharbiyah is a modern district of high-rise apartment buildings housing dozens of flats per tower, needing a single central AC system distributing air across many floors via vertical ducts within columns, walls and false ceilings. Cutting ducts on site at height risks dropping them and leaves gaps that bleed air and moisture, so we manufacture them complete in the workshop to exact dimensions and sealed at every joint before reaching site.
Al Gharbiyah sits in north Jeddah, a district of modern high-rise apartment buildings standing close together.
Most residential towers here use a single central AC unit distributed via vertical and horizontal ducts to all floors.
The AC setup in Al Gharbiyah
- 1
One central system per residential tower
Each tower in Al Gharbiyah needs one central AC unit on the roof and vertical and horizontal ducts distributed across all floors and flats.
- 2
Vertical ducts within structural columns
The main vertical duct runs inside a structural column from roof to ground floor, with horizontal ducts branching off on each floor.
- 3
False ceilings with hidden horizontal ducts
Horizontal ducts distribute air within the false ceiling of each flat, saving space and preserving the interior design.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Gharbiyah
- 1
Coordinate with building management for access
Inform building management that we will visit to take measurements, and confirm we can access the roof and sample floors.
- 2
Share architectural plans and structural dimensions
Send the tower's architectural plans and structural dimensions with main column locations, so we calculate the main duct length and horizontal branches.
- 3
Specify the outdoor unit location on the roof
Clarify where the outdoor unit will sit on the tower roof and any space or weight constraints before we start manufacturing.

FAQ
Questions about AC duct manufacturing
How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?
We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.
Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?
Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.
Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?
Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.
Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?
Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.
Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?
The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.
A 20-storey residential tower, how do you distribute cold air to all the flats?
Cold air drops from the plenum on the roof via a main vertical duct inside a structural column, then branches into horizontal ducts on each floor distributing air to the flats. All ducts are manufactured in the workshop to precise dimensions.
The vertical ducts are very long at high elevations, does the seal stay tight?
Yes, we seal every joint with Foster sealant during manufacture and support ducts with strong metal brackets during installation, so the seal remains tight throughout the system's life.
Sea humidity in Al Gharbiyah affects ducts on the roof?
We fully insulate all ducts so external humidity does not mix with cold air inside. Roof-mounted ducts are insulated and have tight seals at every joint preventing moisture leakage.
Do we need special coordination with building management before measurement?
Yes, it is best to inform building management before our measurement visit, especially if we need access to the roof or basement to trace the duct route.
