When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.

What sets this district apart

Al Mahamid is an industrial and commercial zone with warehouses, factories and workshops featuring vast spaces, high ceilings and operations demanding continuous, reliable central cooling. Hand-cut ducts across these large, harsh areas cannot cover long distances without heavy cold-air leakage, and installation takes too long, disrupting production. We manufacture ducts in large, strong sections using industrial-grade insulation, with tight sealing on every seam, numbering them in installation order, so they arrive site-ready for quick, safe fixing without delays.

Al Mahamid, east Jeddah, is a major industrial and commercial zone of warehouses, factories and workshops across vast areas.

Most industrial projects here use central cooling with large-bore ducts distributed horizontally across high ceilings to cover storage and production areas.

The AC setup in Al Mahamid

  1. 1

Central ducts in very large sections

Warehouses and factories need ducts in very large sections, up to a metre or more, to efficiently cover vast areas.

  2. 2

    Strong insulated lateral branches

We fabricate strong, insulated lateral branches in industrial materials extending from the main duct to distribute air across warehouse sections or production lines.

  3. 3

    Heavy-duty plenums for high-load demands

Distribution boxes and plenums are insulated with heavy-duty materials to withstand high air pressure and continuous operation in industrial processes.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Mahamid

  1. 1

    Obtain a detailed project plan

Request a detailed plan from the project engineer showing space dimensions, ceiling height, central unit location and areas needing cooling.

  2. 2

Confirm ceiling strength and attachment points

Verify the ceiling can support the weight of large ducts and that strong attachment points are available across passages and sections.

  3. 3

Coordinate the visit with the factory or warehouse management

Inform the factory or warehouse management of the visit time in advance, as measurements and installation may affect daily operations.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

How do you handle the very large spaces in warehouses and factories?

We design duct networks with large-bore sections and strong branches covering long distances without significant leakage, and test cooling balance before delivery.

Do large ducts need more ceiling space than smaller ones?

Yes, but large ducts distribute cooling more efficiently and with less leakage across vast spaces compared to multiple small ducts.

How long does duct installation take in a large industrial project?

Time depends on the project size, but pre-assembled and numbered ducts cut installation time significantly compared to hand-cutting on site.

Can branches be modified or added later if production processes change?

Changes to a manufactured industrial duct can be complex. Precise prior planning is best, but we can fabricate additions and connect them safely if needed.
