When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

What sets this district apart

Al Rabee is developing rapidly, with new villas and contemporary apartment towers featuring spacious interiors and high ceilings. Most new projects choose central AC because it costs less than multiple splits and delivers even distribution. However, on-site hand-cut ducts leave gaps that reduce cooling efficiency and create condensation points in Jeddah's heat. Workshop-made ducts deliver better performance and faster installation.

Al Rabee sits in north Jeddah, a district of modern villas and new apartment towers with thriving residential development.

Most new villas and towers in Al Rabee use central AC rather than splits, with ducts routed through false ceilings and partition walls.

The AC setup in Al Rabee

  1. 1

Central duct network for large villas

New Al Rabee villas are spacious and require branched duct networks for even cooling across all rooms and floors.

  2. 2

Distributed ducts for multi-unit residential towers

Al Rabee towers use separate or shared distributed ducts per unit, requiring precise calibration.

  3. 3

    Insulated high-efficiency ducts

Full insulation and precise sealing deliver high energy efficiency and maintain cooling in large villas and towers.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Rabee

  1. 1

Bring complete architectural plans and exact measurements

Send complete villa or tower plans with all floors, dimensions and heights, marking the main unit and mechanical room location.

  2. 2

Confirm access to false ceilings and ductwork paths

Check that structural work and false ceilings have started or are about to, and that access to pathways and openings is clear.

  3. 3

Coordinate with the contractor on timing and delivery

Tell us the project timeline, especially when painting and finishes start, so we make ducts at the right time.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

My new villa in Al Rabee is large, how many duct sections do I need?

It depends on the floor area, number of floors, rooms and supply points. We take exact measurements and manufacture ducts and branches to your needs, numbering every section.

The villa has a garden and large outdoor space, how do you access it for installation?

Al Rabee's generous spaces make access and unloading straightforward. We coordinate with you on the best entry point and access to the false ceilings and mechanical room before installation.

Jeddah's heat demands strong cooling in large villas, do made ducts maintain cooling efficiency?

Yes, tightly sealed and insulated ducts prevent cold loss along long runs. Foster sealing and no gaps mean better thermal efficiency and even distribution.

The villa location is a bit outside the city, do you deliver ducts out here?

Yes, we deliver across all of Al Rabee and surrounding areas in Jeddah. Once we receive plans and measurements, we manufacture ducts and transport them by equipped vehicle to your site.
