When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

What sets this district apart

Al Rabiyah is a relatively modern district with independent villas and residential blocks that have high ceilings and more open space than older areas. Projects here typically need central AC with longer ducts and larger diameters, and workshop manufacturing ensures no gaps or kinks leak cold air. Full insulation is crucial because modern villas and blocks suffer rapid cooling loss in intense heat and humidity.

Al Rabiyah lies in south Jeddah, a modern residential district with separate villas and spacious apartment blocks featuring contemporary architectural designs.

Most central AC projects in Al Rabiyah use large-diameter ducts spanning long distances from the outdoor unit deep into villas or apartment blocks.

The AC setup in Al Rabiyah

  1. 1

Long supply trunks with large diameters for spacious villas

Villas here need supply trunks with large diameters covering long distances without pressure or cooling loss.

  2. 2

Central plenums and advanced distribution for apartment blocks

Modern apartment blocks need central rooftop or core plenums with multi-level distribution runs to serve multiple floors.

  3. 3

Heavily insulated sections against intense heat

We make ducts with heavy insulation to shield the cold air from extremely high outdoor temperatures in summer.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Rabiyah

  1. 1

Send the full architectural plan of the villa or block

We need a detailed plan showing the outdoor and indoor unit locations, all rooms and spaces so we can manufacture ducts to match the actual layout.

  2. 2

Confirm the outdoor unit location and interior pathways

Confirm where the outdoor unit will be and which routes the ducts will take through ceilings, walls and passages.

  3. 3

Coordinate with the contractor on duct delivery and installation timing

Tell the construction team when the manufactured ducts arrive so they can coordinate hanging with other work phases.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

My villa is large with long distances from the AC to far rooms, do made ducts give better coverage?

Yes, we make ducts in exact diameters and lengths matching your villa's size and layout, with every seam sealed with Foster sealant to ensure cold air reaches every room efficiently.

The outdoor unit is far from the main room, how do you cover that long distance?

We make supply and return ducts in specific lengths matching your distance and layout, fully sealed and insulated to prevent cooling loss over long runs.

Our heat and humidity are intense in summer, does duct insulation save electricity?

Yes, full insulation significantly reduces cooling loss from ducts, allowing the unit to run more efficiently and lower electricity consumption during the long summer season.

Is on-site cutting of ducts cheaper than workshop manufacturing?

On-site cutting leaves gaps that leak cold air and waste electricity over time, while workshop manufacturing prevents this from the start and saves money on monthly bills.
