When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Al Rawabi is a relatively modern residential district with villas and flats of moderate size needing uniform air distribution from one or two central units. On-site knife-cut ducts leak cold air and create damp spots in south Jeddah's heat and coastal humidity, so we make sealed and insulated runs in our workshop to exact dimensions before installation.

Al Rawabi sits in south Jeddah, a modern residential district of medium-sized villas and flats with regular interior spaces.

Most villas and flats in Al Rawabi use central cooling units with relatively simple distribution ducts across one or two floors.

The AC setup in Al Rawabi

  1. 1

    Villa ducts with horizontal runs

Villas in Al Rawabi need horizontal ducts under the slab or in false ceilings to distribute cold air across all rooms.

  2. 2

Flat ducts with vertical runs in chases

Al Rawabi flats need sealed, insulated vertical ducts in narrow wall chases to carry air from lower floors to upper ones.

  3. 3

Dual ducts for two separate cooling units

Some larger villas need two separate cooling units, so we make dual duct runs, each sealed and insulated independently.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Rawabi

  1. 1

    Provide home and HVAC drawings

Send us architectural drawings and HVAC system sketches before the visit so we can manufacture ducts to exact dimensions.

  2. 2

Confirm truck access to the villa

Tell us about the villa's location and available gaps for duct and equipment entry, and confirm the gate is wide enough for a small truck.

  3. 3

Coordinate with the contractor or villa owner

If construction is ongoing, confirm the contractor's approval for measurement and delivery; if the villa is finished, make sure the owner or representative will be present.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Al Rawabi has both villas and flats, do your ducts suit both types?

Yes, we make ducts customised for each building type. Villas usually need horizontal runs under the slab or in false ceilings, and flats need vertical runs in wall chases, and we fit both.

Space between villas is tight, how do you deliver manufactured ducts?

We divide ducts into small numbered sections that can be carried by hand through tight gaps, and deliver them in a small truck parked near the site.

South Jeddah has high coastal humidity, does this affect the ducts?

Yes, full insulation and tight sealing are essential here to prevent moisture condensing on the outer surface of ducts under high heat and humidity.

My house has old wiring in the ceiling, does that affect duct manufacturing?

Duct manufacturing does not require moving wiring, but we must verify the duct route to avoid crossing existing circuits, which we confirm during the first visit.
