Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Al Rawabi is a modern planned district with rapid expansion, featuring spacious villas and mid-rise blocks with regular green spaces, and central ductwork needs exact measurements because buildings sit in closely grouped clusters. Site-cut duct risks mismatched pieces and leaks, but workshop fabrication gives you controlled joints and proper transitions, crucial for keeping large systems efficient here.

Al Rawabi is in south Jeddah, a modern district of spacious villas and mid-rise apartment blocks arranged in closely grouped clusters.

Most villas and apartment blocks in Al Rawabi use rectangular ductwork running through regular ceiling cavities.

The AC setup in Al Rawabi

  1. 1

Rectangular duct for blocks and villas

The regular ceiling and drywall cavities in Al Rawabi suit rectangular duct well, fitting the modern expansion pattern.

  2. 2

Round duct for branch lines and distribution

Branch lines and secondary runs use precisely fabricated round duct for even air distribution throughout the space.

  3. 3

    Transitions from rectangular to round

Workshop fabrication allows smooth transitions from the main rectangular duct to the round branch lines.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Rawabi

  1. 1

    Send space measurements and distances

Send photos of the overhead cavities and measurements in metres via WhatsApp so we can estimate the size and number of fabricated pieces.

  2. 2

Confirm the site is ready for measurements

Make sure the overhead cavities are clear of obstructions before the team visits to take measurements.

  3. 3

Coordinate with contractor or project manager

If the project is under construction, inform the contractor of our measurement visit time to avoid clashing with the work plan.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

Does your duct fabrication suit the mid-rise apartment blocks in Al Rawabi?

Yes, we fabricate rectangular and round duct for mid-rise blocks and villas in various gauges of galvanized and aluminium sheet.

Al Rawabi has active construction projects, can you deliver duct to remote job sites?

Yes, we deliver workshop-fabricated duct to all job sites in Al Rawabi in a covered vehicle, and the team helps with unloading and initial set-up.

Al Rawabi is hot and dry, does fabricated duct suffer from the heat?

Both galvanized and aluminium sheet resist heat and climate swings, so duct retains its shape and keeps cool air sealed with no loss.

How do we ensure fabricated duct will fit the existing spaces in the villa?

We take precise on-site measurements before fabrication, or work from the engineer's drawings, so duct arrives to exact site spec.
