When duct quality makes the difference
- 1
Duct losing cold air
An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.
- 2
Condensation wetting the ceiling
In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.
- 3
A project with many duct runs
A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.
Who it's for
Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork
We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.
Ask on WhatsAppRunning a commercial fit-out that needs duct runs
We take your project drawings and produce numbered sections in batches matched to your site schedule, so the hanging crew is never waiting on supply.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Send sizes or drawings
Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.
- 2
Review sizes and sheet gauge
We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.
- 3
Fabricate, seal and insulate
We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.
- 4
Number and deliver
We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.
Workshop-made or site-cut duct?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Sealing | Foster on every seam in workshop | Uneven site sealing |
| Insulation | Kimmco or Armaflex fully wrapped | Partial or delayed wrap |
| Sheet gauge | Chosen for each duct size | One gauge for everything |
| Assembly time | Numbered, assembled straight away | Cut and adjust on site |
| Joint fit | Workshop dimensions close every joint | Hand trimming breaks the seal |

What sets this district apart
Al Rehab buildings are modern and dense, mixing residential blocks, clinics, bank branches and small shops, needing ducts that balance cold air across multiple sections with different loads simultaneously, but on-site hand-cut ducts fail to balance air between residential and commercial zones with different demands. Workshop manufacturing with custom dimensions and precise dampers ensures each section gets proportional cold air matched to actual requirements.
Al Rehab sits in central Jeddah, a district of modern residential blocks and commercial complexes with mixed residential and business uses.
Most Al Rehab projects need main ducts branching into multiple sub-runs distributing air to residential and commercial sections with different cooling loads.
The AC setup in Al Rehab
- 1
Main and multiple branch ducts
We manufacture a main duct from the central unit branching into separate sub-ducts per residential and commercial section, each fully insulated.
- 2
Adjustable control dampers
Each duct branch has an adjustable damper to balance cold air distribution according to each section's actual load.
- 3
Uniform insulation across all branches
All main and branch ducts are uniformly insulated to prevent cold loss and moisture seeping between sections.
Before the visit

- 1
Get detailed plans for each section with expected cooling loads
Send us plans showing the main unit, residential and commercial sections, all outlets and estimated heat load per section.
- 2
Coordinate with the complex management on installation timing
Duct installation in mixed-use complexes needs coordination with management to avoid disrupting shops and clinics during works.
- 3
Ensure access to spaces above all sections
Check that inter-floor voids and suspended ceilings above all residential and commercial sections can be safely accessed for duct installation.

FAQ
Questions about AC duct manufacturing
How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?
We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.
Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?
Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.
Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?
Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.
Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?
Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.
Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?
The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.
Mixed residential and commercial buildings need different cooling loads, how do you handle the imbalance?
We manufacture ducts with precise subdivisions and dampers, ensuring cold air distribution proportionate to each section's actual needs.
Commercial sections may need stronger cooling than residential, can the ducts be adjusted later?
We manufacture ducts with adjustable dampers, allowing easy re-balancing of air distribution as future usage changes.
Downtown humidity may differ between residential and commercial sections, how do you protect the ducts?
Full insulation with tight sealing protects all ducts from humidity condensation regardless of usage differences between sections.
Do branching ducts need electrical changes to sub-fan distribution?
The ducts need no wiring changes, but before installation we confirm all fans can push air through every branch in balance.
