Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Al Rehab is a central district with mid-range apartment blocks, hotels, clinics and shopping centers, whose conventional modern construction allows moderately complex central AC systems with limited-bend duct and distribution vents across several floors. The central location and moderate construction means workshop-fabricated duct with high craftsmanship delivers reliable performance for many years, avoiding on-site cutting and assembly problems.

Al Rehab sits in central Jeddah, a balanced residential and commercial district with mid-rise buildings and diverse urban services.

Central ductwork systems in Al Rehab need moderate complexity with limited bends and efficient distribution across several floors.

The AC setup in Al Rehab

  1. 1

Central duct at moderate complexity level

Al Rehab projects need duct with limited bends and effective distribution vents across several floors to cover residential towers and hotels efficiently.

  2. 2

Mix of rectangular and circular sections by available space

Duct combines rectangular sections in suspended ceilings with circular pipes in main trunks to balance efficiency and available space.

  3. 3

    Precise joints and calculated offsets

Every offset and bend is fabricated precisely to ensure no air leakage and efficient distribution to all vents.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Rehab

  1. 1

Obtain full engineering drawings or complete site measurements

If you have drawings, share a complete copy before the visit; otherwise our team will take comprehensive site measurements.

  2. 2

Identify the outdoor unit location and main duct run route

Tell us where the outdoor unit sits and which route the main duct will take through the ceiling or designated spaces to avoid obstacles.

  3. 3

Confirm duct can pass through entry points and corridors

Check that the duct lengths and sections we will fabricate can fit through entry doors and corridors easily.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

Our mid-range project, is workshop-fabricated duct worth the cost compared to site cutting?

Yes, fabricated duct maintains precise dimensions and greatly reduces air leakage, delivering better efficiency and performance for many years, and the extra cost is offset by long-term system efficiency.

Al Rehab is central, is aluminium or galvanized better here?

Both suit well; galvanized is stronger, more economical and more common, whilst aluminium is lighter if there are weight constraints.

Can you fabricate duct from engineer drawings or from site measurements?

Yes, we accept complete engineering drawings or take full site measurements and fabricate duct based on what you provide.

How long does fabrication and site delivery take?

Time depends on project scope and duct complexity; share drawings or measurements with us on WhatsApp for an accurate estimate.
