When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

What sets this district apart

Al Widad is a fast-growing district with new multi-storey residential projects and complex designs, requiring long and branched duct networks. On-site cutting leaves gaps that bleed cold air and allow moisture to build up in Jeddah's humid coastal climate, but pre-fabricated ducts with full insulation ensure steady cold-air distribution and significantly cut energy losses.

Al Widad lies in east Jeddah, a rapidly developing residential zone with new complexes and advanced architectural designs.

Most modern projects in Al Widad rely on central AC units with main trunks distributed across several storeys.

The AC setup in Al Widad

  1. 1

Complex duct networks for multi-storey projects

New Widad projects require duct networks distributed across multiple storeys with branches to different units on each floor.

  2. 2

Fully insulated ducts to protect from external heat

Ducts insulated to appropriate thickness preserve cold air passing through unconditioned spaces and reduce system load in intense heat.

  3. 3

Numbered sealed sections ready for rapid assembly

Each duct section is made and Foster-sealed in the workshop with matching numbers, speeding installation and reducing on-site errors.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Widad

  1. 1

    Provide complete accurate project drawings

Send ceiling and corridor layouts, unit distribution, and outlet and inlet positions for each floor so we fabricate ducts with full precision.

  2. 2

Confirm clearance between structural and suspended ceilings

Measure the gap between structural and suspended ceilings on each floor, especially in corridors and tight areas, to ensure insulated ducts fit.

  3. 3

Coordinate with the project contractor before installation starts

Arrange with the contractor a timeline for duct delivery and installation before closing ceilings and walls across all floors.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

How do prefabricated ducts handle complex multi-storey projects?

We calculate each floor and branch connection from your plans, fabricate them in the workshop with complete sealing and insulation, and deliver numbered sections for easy assembly on site.

Can insulated ducts handle later project changes?

Insulated sealed ducts are made to your original drawings, and later changes require fresh measurement and may need new sections, so coordinating with us before changes is important.

Does Al Widad's humidity and heat affect duct performance?

Full insulation and Foster sealing protect ducts from coastal heat and humidity, maintaining cold-air quality as it distributes across different floors.

Do long ducts in large projects need inspection or access points?

Precisely made ducts reduce the need for multiple access points, but the central unit location and main branches may require access for cleaning, which we assess per your design.
