When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

What sets this district apart

Al Riyadh's buildings are relatively modern and built on open plots, allowing central AC ducts to run through ceilings and walls without hitting narrow spaces. Yet the high humidity and intense heat in east Jeddah make proper sealing and insulation essential to stop cold-air loss and moisture condensing on inner surfaces. Workshop-made ducts cut to exact dimensions give even air spread and lower energy waste.

Al Riyadh in east Jeddah is a district of modern villas and apartment blocks with wider building footprints and more open land than central areas.

Most new projects here use central AC systems, and main and branch ducts need full insulation to withstand the high humidity.

The AC setup in Al Riyadh

  1. 1

    Central ducts for residential villas

Modern villas in Al Riyadh use one or two central distribution systems, and we support different layouts based on floor area and room count.

  2. 2

    Duct systems in apartment buildings

Apartment blocks typically need separate ducting per flat or flat group, with the air handler in the floor's ceiling or basement level.

  3. 3

    Custom-sized ducts for irregular spaces

Some modern projects have unconventional architectural designs, so we make ducts in custom shapes and sizes to fit the design.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Riyadh

  1. 1

    Obtain the complete engineering drawings

Send us detailed project drawings with all ceiling, wall and space dimensions at least a week before the start date.

  2. 2

Confirm the air handler and outlet location

Confirm the air handler's location and the planned outlet route before we start, to avoid needing changes later.

  3. 3

Coordinate with the contractor on delivery and installation

Tell the contractor when we will deliver the numbered duct sections, and make sure the installation team is ready to receive them in sequence.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Do you measure ducts to match the engineer's design for my villa?

Yes, we take the drawings from the engineer or contractor and make the ducts to exact dimensions per spec, and number them for easy installation.

Our villas and blocks have suspended ceilings, do the ducts fit inside them?

Yes, we size the ducts to run through the space between the structure and the suspended ceiling, but we need clear drawings of the available clearance from the project team first.

Humidity in east Jeddah is very high, how do you protect ducts from condensation?

We seal every duct joint with Foster sealant and add moisture insulation over the entire outer surface, which stops mould growth and condensation.

What insulation type do you use, and does it handle the heat?

We use foam insulation at the thickness needed for Jeddah's heat and humidity, chosen to fit the duct gauge and the space between your ceilings.
