Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.

What sets this district apart

Al Asla'a mixes residential villas, apartment blocks and commercial shops in varied designs, requiring different duct solutions by building type and use. Workshop fabrication lets us calculate each building's needs precisely, whether simple central duct for a villa or a complex system for a shop or warehouse. When the duct arrives, it is fabricated from exact measurements and ready to install without delay.

Al Asla'a sits in east Jeddah, a diverse district mixing villas, residential blocks and various commercial shops.

Villas here choose moderately complex central duct, while commercial shops may need more complex systems depending on area and use.

The AC setup in Al Asla'a

Mixed duct solutions for varied uses

Al Asla'a needs varied duct solutions by building type, from simple villas to complex commercial shops.

  2. 2

    Galvanized and aluminium by requirement

We choose sheet type by building needs and environment, with galvanized preferred for commercial shops to handle humidity.

  3. 3

    Custom designs for each location

Each Al Asla'a building has different needs, so we fabricate custom-designed duct from precise drawings and measurements.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

Do you have experience making duct for both villas and shops in Al Asla'a?

Yes, we fabricate duct for different building types, villas, blocks and shops, tailored to each building's needs.

My large commercial shop needs complex duct design, can you handle it?

Yes, we fabricate complex duct systems for shops and warehouses, with precise calculation of diameters and velocities by area and use.

My shop is ground floor with no ceiling space, how do you route the duct?

We fabricate duct in different sizes to match available space, and may use horizontal duct or a custom design suited to the building.

How do you handle the difference between a villa and commercial space needs?

We measure each building individually and calculate cooling and ventilation needs by area and use, so each system is custom-designed.
