Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?
- 1
A contractor with project-specific sizes
Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.
- 2
Fittings too awkward to cut on site
Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.
- 3
Extending or renovating an existing duct network
You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.
Who it's for
Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes
We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

What the fabrication covers
- Site measure or drawings
- G90 or aluminium duct
- Elbows transitions and takeoffs
- Tight seams to SMACNA
- Labelled sections ready to hang
How we work
How we work
- 1
Take measurements
A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.
- 2
Fabricate sections and fittings
We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.
- 3
Label and prepare for delivery
We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.
- 4
Deliver to site
We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.
Workshop fabrication or site cutting?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Dimensional accuracy | Workshop machines, tight dims | Hand variation on site |
| Complex fittings | Correct elbows and transitions | Distorted, leaking air |
| Seam quality | Tight lock, low leakage | Gaps weaken pressure |
| Site schedule | Arrives ready to hang | Extra time and site noise |
| Salt and humidity | Aluminium where site demands | One sheet regardless |

What sets this district apart
Al Fayhaa is a relatively modern development zone with closely spaced retail complexes and medium-rise residential buildings, requiring complex multi-storey duct systems. The buildings are close together and demand coordination during installation. Workshop-fabricated duct cuts installation time on site and minimises disruption to neighbouring shops and flats.
Al Fayhaa lies in central Jeddah, a modern development zone with closely spaced commercial complexes and residential buildings.
Centralised HVAC systems here serve multi-storey commercial complexes or residential buildings with distributed, complex networks.
The AC setup in Al Fayhaa
- 1
Complex central duct for retail complexes
Al Fayhaa's retail complexes need complex duct networks branching to many shops with full separation between control zones.
- 2
Multi-storey duct for residential buildings
Residential buildings use duct extending across multiple storeys with separate branches for each flat or unit.
- 3
Distribution outlets with separate control
Each shop or flat may need separate control, so duct is designed with distributed outlets allowing closure or airflow reduction per zone.
Before the visit

Gather complete drawings for the complex or building
Provide comprehensive drawings covering all storeys, units and suspended ceilings so we can design the network precisely.
- 2
Specify all indoor and outdoor unit locations
Tell us where each indoor and outdoor unit will be so we fabricate duct lengths and routes with exact accuracy.
- 3
Coordinate with complex or building management
Agree with complex or building management on an installation schedule and permitted routes for passing duct without disrupting operations.

FAQ
Questions about Duct fabrication
Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?
Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.
What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?
G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.
Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?
Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.
How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?
Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.
Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?
Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.
How do you coordinate with neighbouring shops and flats during installation?
By fabricating the complete duct network in the workshop before installation, we minimise noise, dust and disruption on site. Installation is fast with minimal impact on neighbours.
Does workshop duct withstand high pressure in large HVAC systems?
We use precise fabrication and joining standards to ensure duct withstands air pressure without leakage or deformation, even in large complex systems.
Does retail complex cooling differ from residential cooling in Al Fayhaa?
Yes, retail complexes need higher humidity control and uniform distribution across large open areas, while residential needs precision to separate units. Duct is designed to suit each type's needs.
What is the difference between galvanised and aluminium duct for commercial complexes?
Galvanised is stronger and cheaper but heavier, aluminium is lighter and easier to move but costs more. Choose what suits your network size and budget. Send the details on WhatsApp and we will help.
