Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

  • Renovating home AC and need fittings to match old duct

We measure the existing ductwork in your home and fabricate the branches, transitions and elbows needed to match the original duct without replacing the whole network.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.
  • An indoor AHU unit connected to round ductwork in a mechanical plant room, exposed concrete ceiling.

What sets this district apart

Al Jamea buildings blend residential flats, clinics, offices and shops, many built decades ago with limited ventilation design. Pre-fabricated duct allows precise runs through tight ceiling and wall spaces, and fits around existing pipes and cables without on-site cuts. This approach saves time and cost, and eliminates air loss at every joint.

Al Jamea sits in central Jeddah with a mix of residential units, medical clinics, administrative offices and small shops.

Most buildings here need rectangular duct to route air through tight passages and ceilings between multiple units.

The AC setup in Al Jamea

  1. 1

    Rectangular duct for tight passages

Al Jamea's older buildings have limited passages, so fabricated rectangular duct allows precise air distribution in tight spaces.

  2. 2

    Complex transitions and offsets

Irregular ceilings and walls need custom fittings, all made beforehand in the workshop.

  3. 3

    Sealed joints with zero leakage

Fabricated duct seals tightly to ensure zero air loss, critical in fully enclosed buildings.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Jamea

  1. 1

Provide site drawings or engineer design

We need a sketch or engineer plan of the unit ceiling and passages, or we'll visit to take precise measurements.

  2. 2

Coordinate with building or clinic management

Administrative and clinic buildings need approval from management before we enter to take measurements.

  3. 3

Ensure access to all ventilation points

Confirm the passages, ceilings and outdoor points the duct will traverse are accessible to the team before the visit.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

Does pre-fabricated duct fit Al Jamea's older clinics?

Yes, we take precise measurements on site and fabricate to fit the clinic passages and existing ceilings, arriving ready for direct installation.

The flats are very close together, how do you get the duct inside?

The fabricated duct comes in coordinated sections that move easily through tight entries and passages, then are joined precisely on site.

Central Jeddah has high humidity, does the duct corrode?

We use galvanized or aluminium duct to suit site conditions, and galvanized duct resists coastal humidity effectively.

Do you need to cut duct on site during installation?

No, duct is cut and fittings are made in the workshop to drawings, so it reaches site ready for direct hanging with no extra cuts.
