Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.
  • An indoor AHU unit connected to round ductwork in a mechanical plant room, exposed concrete ceiling.

What sets this district apart

Al Muhammadiyah is a modern residential district of spacious villas and diverse apartment blocks, most with contemporary suspended ceilings and long corridors needing uniform ductwork. Modern construction here requires high precision in duct fabrication to prevent leakage in suspended ceilings and keep airflow balanced across all rooms. Actual site measurements and coordination with the contractor before production save time and cost at installation.

Al Muhammadiyah sits in north Jeddah, a modern residential district of spacious villas and apartment blocks.

Most systems here use rectangular duct concealed in suspended ceilings, with round branches to each room or living zone.

The AC setup in Al Muhammadiyah

  1. 1

Main rectangular duct in suspended ceiling

Villas and blocks here use a main rectangular duct fabricated to precise measurements, completely hidden within the suspended ceiling.

  2. 2

Round branches and dividers for each zone

The main duct splits into small round branches for each room, with dampers to adjust air balance.

  3. 3

    Precisely engineered transitions and bends

Transitions and bends are fabricated at engineered angles to reduce pressure loss and system noise.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Muhammadiyah

  1. 1

Send your architectural and mechanical drawings

Gather your architectural and mechanical drawings and send them before the visit so we can measure duct and branch lengths precisely.

  2. 2

Identify air outlet and return locations

Mark where air outlets and return grilles are placed in each room and corridor, as this determines the final duct design.

  3. 3

Confirm outdoor unit and main return location

Pinpoint the outdoor unit location and main return point from ceiling, as this determines total duct length and insulation required.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

My villa has long corridors, how do we ensure cool air reaches every room?

We design the main duct with a large diameter and add multiple branches along the corridor, with dampers to balance pressure between distant and near rooms.

My suspended ceiling has many electrical wires, does that affect duct routing?

We request your electrical drawings and carefully design duct routing to avoid clashing with wires and pipes, coordinating with the contractor before installation.

Al Muhammadiyah gets very hot in summer, does duct lose cool air?

We insulate duct with thick thermal insulation to reduce cool-air loss through duct walls, especially where it passes above non-cooled spaces.

Is workshop-made duct better than on-site cutting?

Yes, far better. Workshop fabrication ensures higher precision in dimensions and joints, less material waste, and less noise and dust at your site.
