Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Al Nur is a relatively modern urban district with spacious villas, residential towers and hotels featuring advanced architectural designs, all requiring complex central AC systems that span multiple floors and wide areas. These buildings need workshop-fabricated duct with precise measurements, curves, transitions and custom takeoffs, because cutting on site cannot maintain the accuracy needed for balanced pressure and high efficiency.

Al Nur sits in north Jeddah, a modern urban district mixing spacious villas, residential towers and hotels.

Central AC systems here require ductwork running across roofs and inside tower walls, with many curves and transitions.

The AC setup in Al Nur

  1. 1

    Complex central ductwork for towers

Hotels and residential towers need branching duct systems with transitions, curves and takeoffs distributed across multiple floors.

  2. 2

Flexible ducts for tight wall cavities

Some modern villas and flats use insulated flexible duct for constrained spaces between structural elements.

  3. 3

Rectangular and round duct with precise curves

Most systems here mix rectangular duct for main runs with round duct for branches, both with carefully calculated curves and transitions.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Nur

  1. 1

Obtain the engineering drawings or site measurements

Send us the engineer's drawings or exact measurements of the duct routes before we begin fabrication.

  2. 2

Confirm the installation team can access roofs and interior passages

Ensure the building's roofs, lifts and interior passages will be available for the installation team on the scheduled date.

  3. 3

Set a receiving point for duct delivery and installation

Agree with building management on a safe unloading point for the duct and installation start times to avoid clashes with other work.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

Why fabricate duct in the workshop rather than cut on site?

On-site cutting loses precision and causes air leakage, especially in complex systems. Workshop-fabricated duct arrives with exact dimensions and intricate details so it fits with no pressure loss.

How do you deliver duct to tall residential towers?

We fabricate duct sized to fit the towers' lifts and interior passages, and deliver it flat-packed or rolled for easy transport to upper floors.

Does the duct withstand the intense heat on the roof?

We use rust-treated G90 galvanised or aluminium suitable for heat exposure. Duct on exposed roofs needs additional thermal insulation depending on run length and sun exposure.

Do you work from the building's engineer drawings?

Yes, we read the engineer's drawings and fabricate to spec. We also take additional on-site measurements to confirm accuracy before fabrication.
