Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.
  • An indoor AHU unit connected to round ductwork in a mechanical plant room, exposed concrete ceiling.

Don't see your district?Message us. We most likely cover it.

What sets this district apart

Al Salmiyah Al Sharqiyah has large distribution warehouses and wholesale and retail outlets, typically wide buildings with high ceilings and open layout. Central cooling is the only practical option for these large areas, but demands complex duct with even air distribution. On-site cutting can leave gaps or imbalance, whereas pre-fabricating ensures high efficiency and reliable performance.

Al Salmiyah Al Sharqiyah in south Jeddah is a commercial district oriented to wholesale and warehousing, with large open-plan buildings.

Distribution warehouses and large stores in Al Salmiyah Al Sharqiyah run powerful central cooling with complex rectangular duct and evenly spaced branches.

The AC setup in Al Salmiyah Al Sharqiyah

  1. 1

Large main duct with multiple distributed branches

Large warehouses need a strong main duct with multiple branches evenly distributed across all areas.

  2. 2

Precise calibration for even air distribution

Wide areas need precise branch sizing to ensure cold air reaches every corner evenly.

  3. 3

    Strong joints for high-pressure systems

Powerful central units create high duct pressure, so we make extremely tight joints that don't leak under strain.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Salmiyah Al Sharqiyah

  1. 1

Measure the full warehouse and mark branch points

Measure length, width and height, and clearly mark where each branch and outlet should be in the warehouse.

  2. 2

Ensure roof and ducting access is clear

Confirm the roof or structure holding the duct is safely accessible and free of obstacles during installation.

  3. 3

Discuss installation timing and operational needs

Agree on a timing that suits warehouse operations, and confirm any closure or pause periods available for installation work.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

Our warehouse is very large, how do you get cooling to every corner?

We fabricate a large main duct running through the warehouse with multiple branches evenly spaced, calibrated to ensure uniform airflow to every corner.

The warehouse ceiling is very high, does this affect cooling efficiency?

High ceilings need longer duct but don't harm efficiency if branches are calibrated precisely. We design the system to handle the large volume with high efficiency.

The store operates long hours, can the duct withstand heavy use?

Duct fabricated from high-grade galvanised material withstands continuous heavy use through long operating days without degradation.

How do we confirm the duct is calibrated correctly before installation?

We fabricate branches to calculated airflow requirements per area, and coordinate with your system engineer to measure balance before and after installation.
