When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Al Salmiyah Al Sharqiyah is a mixed residential and commercial zone with apartment blocks, shops, clinics and small restaurants, with varied and fairly close building sizes. Central AC is found in modern flats and larger shops, and pre-made ducts offer precise distribution and cut cooling loss in shared hallways and passages, cutting electricity bills and improving summer comfort.

Al Salmiyah Al Sharqiyah lies in south Jeddah, a mixed residential-commercial zone of medium density.

Most residential blocks and larger shops here use central AC, with ducts distributing air to multiple units.

The AC setup in Al Salmiyah Al Sharqiyah

  1. 1

Main runs with branches to multiple units

Residential blocks and shops need main runs branching to separate flats or stores, with individual temperature control.

  2. 2

Shared ducts in hallways and plenum spaces

Shared spaces in blocks need main ducts that run easily, and pre-fabrication ensures tight branch separations.

  3. 3

Balanced insulation to cut losses and noise

Insulated ducts reduce cooling loss in shared passages and dampen flow noise between different units.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Salmiyah Al Sharqiyah

  1. 1

Get the building or shop layout

A detailed plan showing unit count, distances and shared spaces helps us manufacture ducts to correct dimensions.

  2. 2

Coordinate with building management or shop owner

Tell building management or the shop owner about the visit and delivery time, especially for shared spaces and stair access.

  3. 3

Ensure temporary staging space for the ducts

Identify a safe spot in the building or shop to stage numbered sections before final installation.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Buildings here are a mix of older and newer, do factory-made ducts suit both?

Yes, we design ducts for each building to its dimensions and condition. Both older and newer buildings benefit from good sealing and insulation.

Streets are narrow and buildings are close, can you bring large duct sections?

Numbered sections are sized to fit through standard building doors and stairwells easily, without needing to cut or reroute.

Humidity and particles clog ventilation quickly, do sealed ducts help?

Yes, sealed ducts with full insulation reduce dust and moisture ingress, extending filter and unit life.

How much to make ducts for a small residential block?

Cost depends on the number of flats, distances and insulation. Send the building plan on WhatsApp for an accurate estimate.
