Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.
  • An indoor AHU unit connected to round ductwork in a mechanical plant room, exposed concrete ceiling.

What sets this district apart

Al Tilal is a relatively modern residential district with open spaces and wide plots allowing complex central AC design without the constraints of older areas. Villa and apartment layouts here permit intricate duct runs with multiple bends and transitions, and workshop fabrication from galvanized or aluminium sheet ensures each section arrives at the exact dimensions calculated from site or drawings. This preserves system efficiency and eliminates air loss and noise from poor seams.

Al Tilal lies in east Jeddah, a modern residential district of spacious villas and apartments with open surrounding plots.

Most villas and apartments in Al Tilal use central distributed duct systems rather than separate split units.

The AC setup in Al Tilal

  1. 1

Central distributed duct in modern villas

Al Tilal villas typically use a single main duct from the fan with multiple branches feeding each floor and wing.

  2. 2

Rectangular duct hidden in drop ceilings

Modern Al Tilal villa and apartment design allows rectangular duct to be hidden in drop ceilings without affecting interior space.

  3. 3

    High-grade aluminium or galvanized duct

We choose the material based on the duct's outdoor exposure and weather factors, especially in areas near moisture sources.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Tilal

  1. 1

Provide house plans and interior layout

Plans help us trace the duct path and branches and calculate exact measurements before workshop fabrication starts.

  2. 2

Confirm the central fan location and ceiling spaces

Tell us where the fan will be and which ceilings or spaces are available for the duct run before we first visit.

  3. 3

    Ensure access to installation spaces

Verify that ceilings and hidden passages are safe and accessible before duct and branch installation and hanging.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

How do you calculate duct size for a villa in Al Tilal?

We measure on site or use the villa's engineering drawings, then calculate duct size and branch count based on room count, area and the fan capacity.

Does fabricated duct reduce noise compared to on-site cutting?

Yes, tight seams and precise cuts significantly reduce air turbulence and noise, especially in bedrooms and living rooms.

Can branches be added to the duct later if you add a new room?

Branches can be added if the original system design allows, and any extra pipes are fabricated in the workshop to the same standards.

What is the difference between rectangular and round duct in an Al Tilal villa?

Rectangular duct fits easily into modern ceilings and walls, while round duct suits long runs and main branches. We choose based on your villa's design.
