Dedicated duct workshop

Duct fabrication in Breiman

In Breiman, east Jeddah, where modern residential and hotel projects are expanding, duct fabrication must be precise to distribute cooling across large spaces efficiently. We fabricate duct in our workshop to exact dimensions with complex fittings to prevent air loss at joints.

Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.
  • An indoor AHU unit connected to round ductwork in a mechanical plant room, exposed concrete ceiling.

What sets this district apart

Breiman's buildings are newer than central districts, comprising multi-storey residential towers, hotels and serviced apartments, most equipped with central AC systems covering entire floors. This building type needs a complex duct network with multiple routes and multiple distribution points, and pre-fabricating duct in the workshop ensures dimensions match the drawings precisely with no on-site cutting errors.

Breiman lies in the east, a modern district of tall apartment blocks, hotels and large commercial projects.

Central AC systems here typically use rectangular duct with several branches covering multiple storeys of each building.

The AC setup in Breiman

  1. 1

    Multi-branch rectangular duct

Most residential and hotel projects in Breiman use rectangular duct systems with multiple branches to cover each storey.

  2. 2

    Complex transitions and distribution points

Central units are usually on the roof or in a plant room, so duct requires multiple bends and take-offs to reach each unit.

  3. 3

    Clean joints between sections

Workshop fabrication ensures tight seals between each section, preventing air loss at every joint during installation.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Breiman

  1. 1

    Obtain the complete engineering drawings

Ensure the project drawings and full measurements are available before we begin fabrication.

  2. 2

Confirm the unloading and delivery point

Agree with our team on the nearest safe point to unload duct on site, given Breiman's dense project cluster.

  3. 3

    Verify workspace and vertical routes

Confirm adequate space in the roof or plant room and that vertical routes are clear and safe for the installation crew.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

How do you handle engineering drawings for new projects?

We take the drawings from the contractor or engineer, cross-check them on site, then fabricate the complete duct run in the workshop to exact dimensions before delivery to the fitting crew.

New projects in Breiman are crowded closely, does this affect delivering the duct?

We coordinate with the contractor on delivery timing and the unloading point before fabrication, and transport duct in vehicles suited to the tight passages between projects.

Does the duct arrive ready to install immediately?

Yes, the duct arrives complete with all branches, bends and connections, ready to hang and commission without any further cutting or modification on site.

Tall buildings in Breiman need vertical duct runs to be precisely stacked, how do you ensure that?

We fabricate each duct section to match the storey height and inter-storey spacing precisely, so they align perfectly when stacked during installation with no gaps or unintended protrusions.
