Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

  • Renovating home AC and need fittings to match old duct

We measure the existing ductwork in your home and fabricate the branches, transitions and elbows needed to match the original duct without replacing the whole network.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Dhahban is a coastal area in far north Jeddah featuring luxury villas, hotels and resorts near the sea. The harsh coastal environment with high humidity and sea salt demands duct made from corrosion-resistant materials with extra protection. Central systems here are complex and distributed across many floors, so ductwork must be workshop-fabricated with high precision using special protective materials and coatings.

Dhahban sits in far north coastal Jeddah, an area of luxury villas and hotels directly near the sea.

Projects here use central ductwork in corrosion-treated aluminium or galvanised steel with additional protective coatings against sea corrosion.

The AC setup in Dhahban

  1. 1

Central ductwork in protected aluminium or galvanised steel

Beachfront hotels and resorts use central ductwork treated against sea corrosion, with extra protective coating and thick thermal insulation.

  2. 2

Fully insulated duct to prevent condensation and corrosion

High coastal humidity requires thick external thermal insulation around all duct sections to prevent moisture condensation and corrosion.

  3. 3

Duct with condensate drainage for heavy humidity

Beachfront villas and hotels may need additional condensate drain systems to handle water from high humidity levels.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Dhahban

  1. 1

Send coastal site drawings and humidity and salt exposure data

Give us full information on proximity to sea, humidity levels and expected wind exposure so we select appropriate materials and protection.

  2. 2

    Confirm protective materials and coatings

Confirm the protective materials and coatings needed before fabrication to ensure maximum protection in the coastal environment.

  3. 3

Plan periodic maintenance and inspection schedule

Agree on a periodic inspection schedule to monitor duct condition, coating and fixing, especially in the harsh coastal environment.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

Sea salt can corrode duct fast, how do you protect it?

We use pure aluminium or heavily rust-treated G90 galvanised steel. We add extra protective coating and external thermal insulation for double protection in the coastal environment.

High humidity causes heavy condensation, how do you solve it?

Duct is wrapped with thick external thermal insulation to prevent moisture condensation. We also recommend an additional condensate drain system for heavy condensation.

Does the duct withstand strong winds on exposed roofs?

Yes, aluminium and galvanised steel are robust, but exposed roofs need strong fixing and extra insulation. We recommend periodic checks to monitor fastening and coating condition.

Coastal projects can take time, can you speed up fabrication?

Yes, if you provide complete drawings and measurements upfront, we can fabricate quickly and deliver to the project schedule.
