Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.
  • An indoor AHU unit connected to round ductwork in a mechanical plant room, exposed concrete ceiling.

What sets this district apart

Mushrifah is a transitional district between older and newer areas, mixing medium-rise apartment buildings and closely spaced villas. This type of building needs balanced ductwork distributing air efficiently across several floors and neighbouring villas, and even small leaks can affect comfort in adjacent units. Workshop fabrication ensures tight joints and precise calculations, saving installation time and notably boosting system efficiency.

Mushrifah, in central Jeddah, is a transitional district of medium-rise buildings and closely spaced villas.

Most central systems here cover a single villa or multi-storey building, with moderate to medium complexity ductwork.

The AC setup in Mushrifah

  1. 1

Central system for a multi-storey building

Three or four-storey buildings in Mushrifah need unified ductwork from one main unit with outlets for each floor.

  2. 2

    Separate system per villa

Closely spaced villas in Mushrifah typically need separate duct systems per villa, with duct spanning between its floors.

  3. 3

    Duct with precise pressure balance

Close villas and buildings need precise pressure balance, which requires duct fabricated with accurate engineering calculations.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Mushrifah

  1. 1

    Measure floor-to-floor and ceiling heights

Measure floor-to-floor distances and clear ceiling heights so we fabricate duct with exact lengths.

  2. 2

    Locate units and desired outlets

Show the main unit location in the basement or roof, and specify which rooms or zones need separate outlets.

  3. 3

Confirm access for long, heavy duct sections

Fabricated duct may be long and heavy, so ensure corridors and stairs allow moving it from the entrance to the site.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

Our villas are close together, does duct leakage affect neighbouring units?

Yes, leakage affects pressure balance between close villas, so we fabricate with completely airtight joints to prevent any loss.

Our building has three storeys, how does the duct distribute evenly?

We measure all three storeys and fabricate duct with precise bends, offsets and balanced outlets for each floor.

Does fabricated duct stand up to the high temperatures in central Jeddah?

We use galvanised steel or aluminium, both of which resist high heat and humidity effectively in the central climate.

Can you measure existing duct and add new sections?

Yes, we measure existing duct and fabricate new sections that match precisely in diameter, connection and level.
