When does a factory need a specialist system?

  1. 1

    Machine heat exhausting the workers

Compressors, motors and furnaces push out steady heat that scattered split units cannot handle. We assess every heat source on site and design a system that removes that heat and delivers cooled air precisely where people work.

  2. 2

A high roof that traps hot air

Hot air rises and collects under the roof while workers suffer at floor level. Evaporator positions, airflow angles and unit sizing all depend on the ceiling height and building shape, and the site survey decides each of these.

  3. 3

    Production dust destroying equipment

In wood, metal and plastic factories, coarse dust enters units and damages compressors and coils. We select equipment suited to industrial environments and design air paths that separate cooling air from contaminated process air wherever possible.

Who it's for

  • Building a new factory that needs HVAC

We join at design stage to fix unit positions, duct routes and extraction before the roof is cast and machines are installed, so the system is built into the structure from the start.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Industrial site survey

Our team visits the factory during operation to measure actual heat from machines, map worker zones and critical processes, record ceiling heights and identify possible duct routes.

  2. 2

    System design

We design central plant, distributed units or a combination to suit the factory, and fix the positions of extraction and ventilation units, duct sizes and damper locations before you approve the work.

  3. 3

    Fabrication and installation

We fabricate duct in our own workshop from G90 galvanised or aluminium sheet to SMACNA standards, run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, mount units and insulate pipework with Armaflex and Kimmco materials.

  4. 4

    Commissioning and scheduled maintenance

We commission the system, check airflow distribution, refrigerant pressure and damper balance, then set up a preventive and corrective maintenance contract timed to fit around your production shifts.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.
  • An indoor AHU unit connected to round ductwork in a mechanical plant room, exposed concrete ceiling.

What sets this district apart

Al Lulu holds a mix of small, medium and specialised workshops, some with very high ceilings and some with limited space, requiring different design for each site. Diverse production means different thermal loads and varied air contaminants, from metal dust to chemical vapours and high humidity, so we design systems with heavy-duty filtration and continuous specialised ventilation matched to each production type.

Al Lulu is a diverse industrial area in north Jeddah with factories and workshops of various sizes, specialties and production types.

Factories here need central cooling systems with capacity scaled to production type, plus separate ventilation fans running independently from cooling.

The AC setup in Al Lulu

  1. 1

    Centralised system with zone dampers

Duct design divides the factory into thermal zones with independent control matching production demands and heat in each area.

  2. 2

Heavy-duty ventilation fans with external exhaust ducts

We install heavy-duty ventilation fans to extract dust and vapours directly outside the factory, completely separate from the cooling system.

  3. 3

    Multi-stage filtration system

We select filters matching each factory's contaminant types, from heavy dust to fine vapours, with changes every two to three weeks.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Lulu

  1. 1

Describe production types and heat-generating processes

Tell us in detail about materials, heat processes and expected contaminants so we can design filtration and ventilation precisely.

  2. 2

Identify roof and external wall access points

Show us safe access points on roof and external walls for routing ducts, mounting units and external fans without obstruction.

  3. 3

Provide operating hours and shutdown schedule

Give us daily operating times and regular shutdowns so we can schedule installation and testing without disrupting production.

FAQ

Questions about Factory HVAC

Can you cool just the worker zones without cooling the whole factory?

Yes, and we do it often. We design spot cooling for workstations or worker walkways using independent units or directed duct runs, rather than trying to cool the entire building volume. The right approach depends on the site and the process, and the survey decides it.

How do you handle heavy industrial dust in Jeddah?

We select units with a protection rating suited to the industrial environment and route airflow away from dust sources where the layout allows. In scheduled maintenance we inspect and clean coils, compressors and filters before deposits build up and affect unit performance.

Do you fabricate the large ducts a factory needs?

Yes, in our own workshop we fabricate round and rectangular duct to any size the design calls for, from G90 galvanised or aluminium sheet to SMACNA standards, including plenums, transitions and dampers needed to control air distribution.

Can you do maintenance between production shifts?

Yes, when we set up the preventive maintenance contract we agree times that fit your production schedule, whether between shifts or on rest days. The aim is that production lines are never stopped because of maintenance work.

What is the difference between process ventilation and worker-zone air conditioning?

Process ventilation targets heat and fumes produced by machinery and production lines, using exhaust fans and calculated fresh-air inlets sized to the heat load at each source. Worker-zone air conditioning aims to maintain a tolerable temperature at floor level without cooling the full volume of the building. A site survey of each factory decides which approach fits each area.

Our factory runs chemical processes; do you handle specialised ventilation?

Yes, we assess the vapour and contaminant types and install ventilation fans with adequate capacity plus safe exhaust ducts away from work areas and neighbouring buildings.

Outdoor unit space is limited in Al Lulu; what are the options?

We assess roofs, walls and available space, and may install multiple smaller units instead of one large unit, or mount them on sturdy metal frames depending on the location.

Temperature varies widely across different parts of our factory; how do you manage that?

We design metal ductwork with dampers controlling cold-air distribution to match each factory zone's needs, monitoring temperature at multiple points.

Do you clean ventilation ducts and factory-specific contaminants?

Yes, we clean metal ducts and filters regularly based on contaminant density in production, using equipment safe against vapours and industrial dust.
