Industrial cooling done right

Factory HVAC in Al Nuzlah Al Sharqiyah

In Al Nuzlah Al Sharqiyah, south Jeddah, factories and industrial plants need cooling for concentrated heat from production lines, furnaces and heavy machinery. We design central refrigeration systems that maintain safety and performance in high-heat, dusty conditions.

When does a factory need a specialist system?

  1. 1

    Machine heat exhausting the workers

Compressors, motors and furnaces push out steady heat that scattered split units cannot handle. We assess every heat source on site and design a system that removes that heat and delivers cooled air precisely where people work.

  2. 2

A high roof that traps hot air

Hot air rises and collects under the roof while workers suffer at floor level. Evaporator positions, airflow angles and unit sizing all depend on the ceiling height and building shape, and the site survey decides each of these.

  3. 3

    Production dust destroying equipment

In wood, metal and plastic factories, coarse dust enters units and damages compressors and coils. We select equipment suited to industrial environments and design air paths that separate cooling air from contaminated process air wherever possible.

Who it's for

  • Building a new factory that needs HVAC

We join at design stage to fix unit positions, duct routes and extraction before the roof is cast and machines are installed, so the system is built into the structure from the start.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Industrial site survey

Our team visits the factory during operation to measure actual heat from machines, map worker zones and critical processes, record ceiling heights and identify possible duct routes.

  2. 2

    System design

We design central plant, distributed units or a combination to suit the factory, and fix the positions of extraction and ventilation units, duct sizes and damper locations before you approve the work.

  3. 3

    Fabrication and installation

We fabricate duct in our own workshop from G90 galvanised or aluminium sheet to SMACNA standards, run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, mount units and insulate pipework with Armaflex and Kimmco materials.

  4. 4

    Commissioning and scheduled maintenance

We commission the system, check airflow distribution, refrigerant pressure and damper balance, then set up a preventive and corrective maintenance contract timed to fit around your production shifts.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Al Nuzlah Al Sharqiyah is an emerging industrial zone south of Jeddah with medium factories and diverse production workshops with very high ceilings, exposed to severe heat especially in summer due to limited shade and sparse nearby buildings. Furnaces and heavy equipment generate very localised high heat needing powerful cooling points and advanced filters to handle dust and fumes. The design must account for specific heat sources, continuous operation and extreme heat conditions.

Al Nuzlah Al Sharqiyah is in south Jeddah, an emerging industrial zone with varied factories and production plants of different sizes and uses.

Most factories here use medium to large compressors with distribution ducts and ventilation fans because heat load is very high.

The AC setup in Al Nuzlah Al Sharqiyah

  1. 1

Localised cooling units near main heat sources

Furnaces and heavy machines generating high heat need a powerful cooling unit nearby to draw hot air away effectively.

  2. 2

Directed ducts and concentrated outlets for efficient distribution

Directed ducts deliver cool air precisely to hot zones and prevent energy waste.

  3. 3

Strong ventilation fans to remove fumes and dust

Factories with high fume or dust output need strong extraction fans to purify air before it reaches the compressor.

Send a diagram showing heat sources and heavy equipment so we can design cooling points precisely.

  2. 2

Details on production hours and heavy operations

Tell us when furnaces, machines and heavy processes run so we can schedule installation and maintenance best.

  3. 3

Identify safe areas for outdoor units away from production

Check that roof and side-wall locations are clear and safe to work in, away from equipment movement and machinery.

FAQ

Questions about Factory HVAC

Can you cool just the worker zones without cooling the whole factory?

Yes, and we do it often. We design spot cooling for workstations or worker walkways using independent units or directed duct runs, rather than trying to cool the entire building volume. The right approach depends on the site and the process, and the survey decides it.

How do you handle heavy industrial dust in Jeddah?

We select units with a protection rating suited to the industrial environment and route airflow away from dust sources where the layout allows. In scheduled maintenance we inspect and clean coils, compressors and filters before deposits build up and affect unit performance.

Do you fabricate the large ducts a factory needs?

Yes, in our own workshop we fabricate round and rectangular duct to any size the design calls for, from G90 galvanised or aluminium sheet to SMACNA standards, including plenums, transitions and dampers needed to control air distribution.

Can you do maintenance between production shifts?

Yes, when we set up the preventive maintenance contract we agree times that fit your production schedule, whether between shifts or on rest days. The aim is that production lines are never stopped because of maintenance work.

What is the difference between process ventilation and worker-zone air conditioning?

Process ventilation targets heat and fumes produced by machinery and production lines, using exhaust fans and calculated fresh-air inlets sized to the heat load at each source. Worker-zone air conditioning aims to maintain a tolerable temperature at floor level without cooling the full volume of the building. A site survey of each factory decides which approach fits each area.

Our furnaces and machines generate very high heat in one area, how do you distribute cooling?

We place one or more units near the main heat source and use directed ducts and concentrated outlets to draw hot air directly and pump cool air into the area.

Our production equipment is very heavy and occupies wide spaces, can you install outdoor units without disrupting production?

We position outdoor units away from production lines, using roof space or side walls that don't obstruct movement or operations.

Dust and fumes from production affect the AC, is cleaning very complicated?

We use heavy-duty filters we clean or replace regularly, and recommend monthly or fortnightly servicing depending on production intensity.

The factory runs 24 hours a day, how do you handle emergency repairs?

We can arrange a maintenance contract with scheduled visits and priority for emergency breakdowns, with contact numbers for urgent calls outside business hours.
