When does a factory need a specialist system?

  1. 1

    Machine heat exhausting the workers

Compressors, motors and furnaces push out steady heat that scattered split units cannot handle. We assess every heat source on site and design a system that removes that heat and delivers cooled air precisely where people work.

  2. 2

A high roof that traps hot air

Hot air rises and collects under the roof while workers suffer at floor level. Evaporator positions, airflow angles and unit sizing all depend on the ceiling height and building shape, and the site survey decides each of these.

  3. 3

    Production dust destroying equipment

In wood, metal and plastic factories, coarse dust enters units and damages compressors and coils. We select equipment suited to industrial environments and design air paths that separate cooling air from contaminated process air wherever possible.

Who it's for

  • Building a new factory that needs HVAC

We join at design stage to fix unit positions, duct routes and extraction before the roof is cast and machines are installed, so the system is built into the structure from the start.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Industrial site survey

Our team visits the factory during operation to measure actual heat from machines, map worker zones and critical processes, record ceiling heights and identify possible duct routes.

  2. 2

    System design

We design central plant, distributed units or a combination to suit the factory, and fix the positions of extraction and ventilation units, duct sizes and damper locations before you approve the work.

  3. 3

    Fabrication and installation

We fabricate duct in our own workshop from G90 galvanised or aluminium sheet to SMACNA standards, run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, mount units and insulate pipework with Armaflex and Kimmco materials.

  4. 4

    Commissioning and scheduled maintenance

We commission the system, check airflow distribution, refrigerant pressure and damper balance, then set up a preventive and corrective maintenance contract timed to fit around your production shifts.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Al Waziriyah is a diverse industrial zone with food and commercial factories and perishable storage, where high humidity plus production heat creates extra challenges. The cooling system must control both temperature and humidity together, and run efficiently all day. Filters and ducts need frequent maintenance because food dust and moisture build up fast, and proper ventilation is essential to preserve stock quality.

Al Waziriyah is in Jeddah's industrial south, a zone of food and commercial factories with large spaces and storage warehouses.

Most food warehouses here use central cooling units with separate dehumidifying systems to preserve product quality.

The AC setup in Al Waziriyah

  1. 1

    Central cooling with dehumidification

Food warehouses in Al Waziriyah rely on a central cooling unit linked to a dehumidifier to protect goods from spoilage.

  2. 2

High-efficiency filters to protect air quality

Food factories need specialist filters that remove dust and vapours, keeping air clean in the production area.

  3. 3

    Insulated metal ducts

Insulated ducts keep cold air at the right temperature from the cooling point to the warehouse without energy loss.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Waziriyah

  1. 1

Send a warehouse map showing areas to be cooled

Identify areas needing more cooling (like cold storage rooms) and others, so we can calculate cooling and humidity needs accurately.

  2. 2

Ensure the team can reach the roof and outdoor areas easily

Check the roof is safe and accessible, and that spaces around the warehouse are adequate for installing outdoor units.

  3. 3

Agree on maintenance schedule with factory management in advance

Agree on inspection and cleaning days and times so they do not disrupt storage and production operations.

FAQ

Questions about Factory HVAC

Can you cool just the worker zones without cooling the whole factory?

Yes, and we do it often. We design spot cooling for workstations or worker walkways using independent units or directed duct runs, rather than trying to cool the entire building volume. The right approach depends on the site and the process, and the survey decides it.

How do you handle heavy industrial dust in Jeddah?

We select units with a protection rating suited to the industrial environment and route airflow away from dust sources where the layout allows. In scheduled maintenance we inspect and clean coils, compressors and filters before deposits build up and affect unit performance.

Do you fabricate the large ducts a factory needs?

Yes, in our own workshop we fabricate round and rectangular duct to any size the design calls for, from G90 galvanised or aluminium sheet to SMACNA standards, including plenums, transitions and dampers needed to control air distribution.

Can you do maintenance between production shifts?

Yes, when we set up the preventive maintenance contract we agree times that fit your production schedule, whether between shifts or on rest days. The aim is that production lines are never stopped because of maintenance work.

What is the difference between process ventilation and worker-zone air conditioning?

Process ventilation targets heat and fumes produced by machinery and production lines, using exhaust fans and calculated fresh-air inlets sized to the heat load at each source. Worker-zone air conditioning aims to maintain a tolerable temperature at floor level without cooling the full volume of the building. A site survey of each factory decides which approach fits each area.

High humidity affects food stock quality, how do we control it?

We design a cooling system with a separate dehumidifier that works alongside it. Regular checks of vents and drainage ensure humidity drops to the required level.

Food factories have dust and steam, can the filters handle that?

We use high-efficiency filters designed for food environments, and recommend checking and changing them weekly or fortnightly depending on contamination level.

Can the cooling system run non-stop 24 hours?

Yes, we design systems to handle continuous operation. Regular maintenance and quick filter checks happen during short breaks to suit your schedule.

The outdoor units need strong ventilation, where should we place them in the warehouse?

Usually on the warehouse roof or in an open area away from production vapours. We inspect the location before installation to ensure good ventilation and easy maintenance.
