When your commercial fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Temperature creeping up slowly

The fridge runs but no longer reaches its old temperature. In Jeddah's hot kitchens, grease builds on the condenser quickly, robbing it of the ability to shed heat and straining the compressor. We check the blockage on site and decide what is needed.

  2. 2

    Condenser fan stopped or slowed

The condenser fan draws air across the condensing coil. When it stops or slows, heat rises fast and the compressor cuts out on its thermal protector. We test the motor and the run capacitor and replace what has failed as part of the repair.

  3. 3

    Door gasket not sealing properly

A cracked or burned gasket lets warm, humid kitchen air in constantly. The result is a compressor that never rests, condensation forming inside the cabinet and an unstable temperature. We measure the existing gasket and replace it with the right size for that door.

How we work

  1. 1

    Describe the fault

WhatsApp us the make, model and the fault you see, plus your district, so the technician arrives with the right tools and likely parts.

  2. 2

    On-site diagnosis

We check the condenser, fan, gaskets and refrigerant pressure on site and identify the real cause before starting any repair.

  3. 3

    Repair and clean

We clean the condenser of grease and dust, replace the faulty part and top up refrigerant if needed, all while keeping disruption to your work as short as possible.

  4. 4

    Temperature check and handover

After the repair we let the fridge run and measure the cabinet temperature until it reaches the correct range, then hand the unit back to you.

What sets this district apart

Al Hazza'iyah is a modern residential and commercial district with diverse shops and restaurants, high concentration of poultry, seafood and dairy outlets. These shops run display and storage fridges under heavy daily load in hot dry climate, and dust and kitchen grease from neighbouring kitchens clogs the condenser coils fast. Regular condenser, fan and seal maintenance is more critical here than elsewhere.

Al Hazza'iyah is in northeast Jeddah, a modern commercial district with high density of food shops and restaurants.

Most shops here use separate display fridges and floor-standing storage units, in medium to large capacity.

The AC setup in Al Hazza'iyah

  1. 1

    Glass-front display fridges

Most food and restaurant shops here use glass-front display units to showcase products, and regular cleaning of the condenser beneath is essential.

  2. 2

    Large floor-standing storage fridges

Poultry and dairy shops use large capacity storage units that need periodic checks of fans and condensers.

  3. 3

    Under-counter storage fridges

Some restaurants and shops use under-counter units in tight spaces, and the limited ventilation around them needs closer maintenance.

FAQ

Questions about Commercial fridge service

My kitchen fridge runs all the time but does not cool enough. What is wrong?

In most cases the condenser is blocked with grease and dust, which is common in Jeddah kitchens where steam and smoke build up fast. A worn door gasket letting warm kitchen air in constantly is another likely cause. We check both on site and tell you which is the problem, or whether both need attention.

Do you service prep counters and under-counter fridges as well?

Yes, our service covers upright fridges, prep counters, under-counter units and bottle coolers in restaurants, bakeries and groceries. We ask for the model in advance so the technician arrives with the right tools and parts for that unit's size and type.

How does Jeddah's humidity affect kitchen fridges?

Warm, humid air enters through any worn gasket and condenses inside the cabinet, raising the load on the compressor and speeding gasket wear. Salt in Jeddah's sea air also corrodes condenser parts over time. That is why we check gaskets and the condenser condition carefully at every service visit.

Can the fridge be repaired without shutting the kitchen down?

For most repairs, yes. Cleaning the condenser and replacing a fan motor or gasket takes the fridge out of service for a short time only. If the repair needs the refrigerant recovered and recharged we tell you the expected time beforehand so you can prepare your stock.

Why does water keep collecting inside my kitchen fridge?

The most common cause is a worn door gasket letting humid kitchen air in, which then condenses on the walls and shelves. A blocked defrost drain at the base of the unit is another frequent cause. We check the gaskets and the drain line on site and identify the problem before starting any repair.

My shop fridge's temperature creeps up every few weeks, what's the issue?

Usually grease and dust on the condenser blocks airflow, or the fan slows from grime. Our team cleans the condenser and fans and checks cooling efficiency, which solves it in most cases.

The kitchen next to me sends heavy grease vapour, does it affect my fridge?

Yes, grease vapour from neighbouring kitchens builds on the fridge condenser much faster here than elsewhere. We recommend cleaning the condenser every 4 to 6 weeks if you are next to a kitchen.

How long does a full display fridge service take?

Cleaning and inspection takes 45 to 60 minutes depending on unit size and grime buildup. We work during closing hours if possible to avoid stopping sales.

My fridge door seals are worn, does that raise the temperature?

Yes, worn seals leak cold air and gradually raise the temperature. We test door seals during service and replace them if needed.
