When you need a retail HVAC specialist
- 1
A new mall or shopping centre
A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.
- 2
An existing shop with uneven cooling
The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.
- 3
Condensate dripping on shelves or display
A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.
Who it's for
Opening a new shop inside a mall
We design an independent unit for your space and install ductwork and condensate lines before finishing work so your opening is not delayed.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging an existing commercial complex
We review the existing system and set a preventive and corrective maintenance contract scheduled outside trading hours so tenants are not affected.

- Maintenance contracts off peak
How we work
How we work
- 1
Site survey and loads
We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.
- 2
Design and materials
We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.
- 3
Installation coordinated on site
We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.
- 4
Start-up and maintenance contract
We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.
Designed for the space or just fitted?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Air distribution | Load study per zone | One unit for the whole space |
| Ductwork | G90 sheet, sized for the job | Off-the-shelf wrong size |
| Condensate | Dedicated line away from stock | Risk of drips on shelves |
| Maintenance | Scheduled outside shop hours | Surprise outage during trade |
| Copper purity | Mueller copper, 99% pure, no welds | Unspecified pipe source |

What sets this district apart
Al Ajwad is a modern district with large retail centres and multi-storey buildings facing east directly, where eastern facades take heavy morning sun and warm outside air all day long. This geographic position raises the thermal load above western districts, especially in upper floors and glass-walled open zones. The system must be designed to handle peak heat in morning and evening, while balancing building cooling with protecting stock from internal moisture and condensation.
Al Ajwad sits in east Jeddah, a developed urban district of modern retail centres facing the direct east and intense heat.
Large retail centres and shops here are mostly fitted with powerful central AC systems because of the high thermal load and extensive glass frontage.
The AC setup in Al Ajwad
- 1
Powerful central AC system with dynamic air redistribution
Large retail centres in Al Ajwad need a powerful central system with high-performance compressors and distribution ducts that can redirect cold air as load changes through the day.
- 2
Multiple split units with smart control
Separate shops and upper floors may use multiple split units with centralised control that balances temperatures across zones based on real-time load.
- 3
Air handling with advanced filtration and humidity control
Storage and service areas need units with high-efficiency filters and precise humidity control to protect goods from external heat and high moisture.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Ajwad
- 1
Check access times and centre closing hours
Eastern retail centres often close late, so scheduling maintenance after closing or early morning ensures operations are not disrupted.
- 2
Alert centre security and management to team arrival
Agree with us on a clear time and alert security and management so the team is welcomed and external access and roof space are unobstructed.
- 3
Map outdoor units and drain routes
Verify outdoor unit mounting on roofs or outer walls, and ensure drain lines discharge away from the centre entrance and building surfaces.

FAQ
Questions about Mall & retail HVAC
How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?
An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.
Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?
Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.
Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?
A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.
How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?
Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.
Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?
The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.
The eastern facade bakes in the sun, is standard AC enough?
No, direct eastern exposure raises the load significantly. You need oversized AC, plus glass insulation or external shading to reduce heat gain.
Hot outside air floods in through doors, how do we manage the load?
We design the system with extra capacity to compensate, and use ventilation units with smart filters that blend outside air sparingly. Air curtains or insulated lobbies also ease the pressure.
The stockroom gets high humidity from the heat, can AC solve it?
Proper AC keeps humidity low, but we ensure drains and channels are fully open, and may add a dedicated dehumidifier if stock is very sensitive.
Can we service the system without halting the shops and operations?
Yes, maintenance can be scheduled in early hours or after shops close. We agree with centre management on a time that fits operating hours.
