When you need a retail HVAC specialist
- 1
A new mall or shopping centre
A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.
- 2
An existing shop with uneven cooling
The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.
- 3
Condensate dripping on shelves or display
A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.
Who it's for
Opening a new shop inside a mall
We design an independent unit for your space and install ductwork and condensate lines before finishing work so your opening is not delayed.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging an existing commercial complex
We review the existing system and set a preventive and corrective maintenance contract scheduled outside trading hours so tenants are not affected.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Site survey and loads
We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.
- 2
Design and materials
We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.
- 3
Installation coordinated on site
We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.
- 4
Start-up and maintenance contract
We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.
Designed for the space or just fitted?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |

| Condensate | Dedicated line away from stock | Risk of drips on shelves |
| Maintenance | Scheduled outside shop hours | Surprise outage during trade |
| Copper purity | Mueller copper, 99% pure, no welds | Unspecified pipe source |

What sets this district apart
Al Hafnah is a diverse eastern district with family shops and popular markets alongside scattered modern centres. Buildings mix old and new, and many small shops lack advanced cooling. Installing new units or upgrading old systems needs deep understanding of space constraints and tight budgets, while affordable regular maintenance keeps shops running reasonably well.
Al Hafnah sits in eastern Jeddah and is marked by family shops, popular markets and mixed-age buildings.
Most small shops in Al Hafnah have older split units or window AC, and regular maintenance extends their life.
The AC setup in Al Hafnah
- 1
Individual split units in small shops
Most small and family-run shops in Al Hafnah have just one or two split units.
- 2
Window units in very old shops
Some very old shops in Al Hafnah have not yet switched to splits and still use traditional window units.
- 3
Simple central systems in small centres
A few small, limited shopping centres in Al Hafnah use very basic central systems with no advanced controls.

FAQ
Questions about Mall & retail HVAC
How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?
An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.
Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?
Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.
Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?
A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.
How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?
Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.
Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?
The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.
My shop is very small in Al Hafnah, do I need central AC or is a split unit enough?
A split unit is perfectly adequate for small shops, cheaper to install and simpler to maintain than central cooling.
My old split units are very old, are they worth repairing or should I replace them?
We inspect first and recommend repair if faults are minor, or replacement if repair costs are too high.
Al Hafnah is near the coast, do humidity and salt air affect the units?
Yes, humidity and salt speed up rust and corrosion in metals, so regular inspection of wiring, pipes and condensers is essential.
My shop has no space for an outdoor unit, what can we do?
It depends on the layout. We might mount it on the building roof or a shared external wall, but a site visit confirms what is feasible.
